  • Thinking about Andres today . Two years since he is gone and I am still deeply saddened, still trying to understand, still wondering if I could have done something to prevent it. My love goes out to the family and Pam.

May Jehovah supply you comfort and strength.Ps.34:18

  • My heart still aches for the loss of Andres; the wound is still fresh to me. Look, I have read all the comments about suicide being selfish and the other side saying "don't judge"...All I have to say is that whether his death was suicide or had been an accident, he's gone. We can't justify an accident anymore than a suicide; they both share the same outcome. Andres was the most unselfish and kindest person I've ever met. What if all he wanted was out, and changed his mind one second too late?

  • dang.. RIP Andres

  • wow i am currently serving my country i iraq to find that my good teacher and friend has past. hes a man that has inspired many in many of ways. he has show everyone that goals can be accomplished. my condolences go out to his family and loved ones. i want you to know that he has inspired even those who serve as his videos are watched here even across the world. to say that he was great comes nowhere close to describing the who he was. R.I.P

  • Andres was a great person and is sadly missed by all who KNEW him. It pisses me off that people have the nerve to say such things about his passing and they didn't even know one thing about him. Have some respect for his wife and family and keep your ignorant comments to yourself. NONE OF US know what he was thinking or feeling or going through at the time so to judge him on his actions are plain and simple just wrong.

    Andres,we miss you...always will.

  • Great Job IMambotv for creating this video. We will all miss Andre, through the comments that are being written I would prefer to remember him for what he has done in the salsa world instead of making statements of how he died. No one knew this would of happened. Why remind everyone about it. Especially his widowed wife that suffered TREMENDOUSLY and still is. What's done is done. Live and let live. Respect him for his dancing his ability to teach. Most of all the friendship he had with you.

  • bro you were my friend when i needed on... rest in peace -Pedro Velazquez

  • that's horrible...is that what happened to him

  • I never knew this great individual but by the videos here I can tell he was very talented. Sure suicide is a selfish act but in this cruel world we live in, sometimes our state of mind takes over completely. Only God knows what he must of been going through on that very moment so we can't judge. My condolences go out to his family and loved ones. I hope he has found peace through his actions.

  • suiscide: a permanent solution to a temporary problem. but anyway nobodys perfect and no1 should judge. he'll definately be missed.

  • With a broken heart I remember: He used to make me laugh tears.Such a clown. Refreshingly sincere & spontaneous. At one point I couldn't tell anymore if was taking lessons with him to learn salsa or just to have a good time. What a talent and hard worker. Huge heart, caring and encouraging. Who won't miss his warm hugs&smile, his crazy loud voice and laughter. Lesson to learn: take every opportunity to show love and concern. We never know who needs it and how many chances we got. So sorry honey!

  • this is a great video to remember someone......

i don't know him, but he was obviously well loved....

my condolences to the family.....especially to his WIFE.....

  • Rest in Peace Andres, this is still hard to believe. I just found you again the other day after losing touch a couple yrs ago and then to lose you again a couple days later...I can't believe it! God Bless...

  • I never know him, but is something hard to belive. He he look like a good boy.

  • I recall the counts of his voice in my head: 1,2,3,.5,6,7...May your serenade of love and passion for dance live on in our hearts, forever. I remember him last teaching me the enchufle double, etc all those arrangements and so eager to learn the next levels higher. I said, I'll take your word and better not rush into learning new levels until I have the beginners levels down good! Andres is so very missed and you are so loved, Pamela; I sympathize with you. Stay strong. Peace and Love, Francine

  • how did he die?

  • I remember Andres when he first satrted with Salsa Heat, back in the days when he was just a student and I was an apprentice. He was one of the first people I helped out and from day one he always said he wanted to be one of the best. It turned out he really was. My sincierest condolences go out to his family and his wife, Andres will be greatly missed. I pray that his soul and his spirit will finally be at peace.

  • Andres was me and my wifes instructor and let me tell you, those were the best times I've had learning to dance from such a master. He was such a joy to be around and learn from. His personality was second to none. I'm still having a hard time believing that he has left us but those memories of him will live on forever. Our deepest sympathies to all of his friends and family. I know he's going to be tearing it up, up there. May you rest in peace, you will truly be missed!!!!!

  • I remember Andres being my Level 1 class and telling me how much he wanted to be an Instructor. With hard work it has paid off..you succeeded! And now there is a void within the salsa community here in Orlando. My prayers are with the family & Pam..you will be missed. Thank you Jareau for this beautiful Eugoly!

  • Thank you Andres...for believing in me and encouraging me to pursue my passion. Still, as I relive the memories in my mind's eye, you continue to inspire me. My heart goes out to your family and friends. May you rest in peace in the presence of God.

  • I nearly dropped my laptop when I saw the email about Andres. Although I only met him once and had the pleasure of participating in his shines workshop at the Miami Congress(2007), he most definitely left an impression... cause I can still hear his voice count "1, 2, 3..., 5, 6, 7...". He was incredibly talented and his work has inspired me many times. I live on the very far end of the planet (New Zealand)... you will be missed and remembered over here too. Our thoughts are with his family.

  • I watched Andres grow, become a man, get married and sadly now this. Andres will be greatly missed there are no words to express this loss. Rest in Peace my friend as I look into the skies I will always see you DANCING WITH THE STARS!!

  • I met Andres about 2 years ago, it was his kind words that made me feel like coming back to class. I am deeply saddened over the loss of one of the greatest dancer/performer/instructor in Salsa today, but most of all I will miss him as a friend! You will always be remembered!

  • I remember when I took my first private with you it was last minute and I was in Clearwater I canceled all my plans and raced to Orlando to meet you because I knew I would be taught by the best. You made me laugh and my body hurt in the training team (squats and laps). You changed the salsa community to what it is today and your passion for salsa will live in all of us. I'll miss you! My prayers are with your family...

  • We sometimes go through life never realizing how the actions we take can carry off in ripples and touch other people's lives. It's no surprise that you've touched the lives of many and you will undoubtably be missed. You always stived to bring out the best in your students. Your passion for salsa will forever live through those whom you taught. My prayers and condolences go to your family and loved ones. May you rest in peace.

  • We will miss you, Our prays are with you and family.

  • I am in disbelief and sadden by your absense. You gave me the confidence to dance Salsa and helped me in overcoming my handicap in class. You are missed by your Melbourne crew and will never be forgotten. My condolenses to your family and friends. Rest in Peace.

Que Dios te tenga en Su gloria.

  • You will be missed my friend...

  • i just can't believe it....... :(

  • Andres came to New Orleans in 2004 MGM II and ripped it. He was an incredible dancer as well as individual. It was great seeing him this weekend. I called him on tuesday to invite him to an upcoming event, with no reply. I watched his practice over an over on my camera last night. Really saddened for all his students and family. He had so many shows to choreograph and events to dj.
