  • proof that, like Bill Hicks said, drugs aren't ALWAYS a bad thing. Look what heroin got us: 3 great Jane's Addiction albums & the 1st PFP. Of course, it also gave us all the rest of their work so... there's that then. ;^)~

  • They weren't a good live band but they were interesting onstage nonetheless.

  • Came out in '93 and is STILL better than any corporate cookie-cutter one hit wonder band out there today. Perry in his prime. One of the few remaining true artists...

  • its spelt "meija"

  • @brooklynbroker

    "spelled" ;)

  • Thanks to the "The Larry Sanders Show" and "Beavis and Butthead" for exposing a lot of people not within earshot of college radio stations to this stuff.

  • This band for me, had such a sound, never heard. I love how unique and powerful the vocals always were. I mean Porno For Pyros was something so new, and different for me at the time. I bought two albums. Porno For Pyros, and Stone Temple Pilots. I listed to PFP way more. Just something that really brought my imagination out. I love Perry and his ideals, and music. I wish all this music could spark this for me.

  • this is fucking cool Porno for pyros on Larry Sanders show hah that's wicked

  • @shoeinthehead are you sayin Perry's gone straight? lol

  • @staticguy nah, thats drum master stephen perkins. new to rock and roll huh? niice

  • YESTERDAY IS HERE.

  • This is the fucking shit!

  • awww this reminds me of the good old days when music was good all around! I miss the 90s!

  • man, Perry looks messed. This was when they were taking lots of drugs

  • meija es gil!!

  • They RUINED a fantastic performance cutting into it like that w/their "comedy"......TOO BAD, It would have been so much better if COMPLETE

  • @TessaUndressa It's the Larry Sanders show.

  • Definitely ahead of their time, they were.

I gave up on fighting the mainstream a long time ago. I simply ignore it . The young generation today are force-fed an appallingly boring, sterile, mindless and monotonous music scene, and they just eat it up. My boys (14 and 16) have always had access to my music collection and they continue to explore. Right now my 14-year old is soaking up Frank Zappa, and my 16-year old is mind-deep into Nicolo Paganini and Radiohead. I've done my job.

  • Music changes constantly just like the times. To tune out or dismiss new stuff is pretty silly. There is always something cool and new out there... you have to know where and how to listen. :)

  • @MINMICHELE67 Yea, but who do we have nowadays?

  • @Blisswhips now if only other kids can follow that. i knew from the start that the music of my generation would suck, thank god i listened to stuff like RHCP and Jane's addiction as a little kid. im still trying to figure out how good music turned into the junk today.

  • @skyman214 Probably the studios realised it would be easier to have pop singing monkey slaves to do whatever they tell them and only have to pay for a session musician backing band. That's my guess

  • great song on the best comedy of its time Larry Sanders Show

  • She took the car out for a drive!..she didnt come back..where she been, whered she go, why she back now??..we all know why you gold diggin bitches!!;)

  • @jm2244 she was on a crack run and dint want to share. (seriously)

  • it got spoilt half way thru

  • larry sanders i a genius too :)

  • Perry is a genius!! I got to seen them live @ the Enit festival in Big Bear CA! Those were the days.

  • wow when was this made? i think tastes in music have dulled too much lately for this to be appreciated recently - larry sanders? when was that, late 90s?

  • GREAT -The OLD Days.

  • tripped balls to this

  • Glad I'm not alone in that!

  • hillarious!

  • Great to be reminded how awesome this track is.

    Thanks for posting :)

  • Thanks for posting. This is my favorite Porno for Pyros song. Listening to Perkins' drums in this song is one of the highlights of my life and just makes me happy and gives me a feeling of serenity.

  • This is good. Remember watching it when it aired.

    Sweeeet!

  • I used to dance like that in highschool, sanders is pretty funny

  • He looks like those mexican penguins from happy feet

  • It's Meija

  • What the fuck are you talking about interfortis?? P4P is the shit!!

  • If you don't like okay move on...don't leave a comment you doucher...There are people who have GREAT taste in music just because your sorry ass doesn't , it doesn't give you the right to leave a very stupid comment on this video...fuck off

  • You suck

  • Then don't listen to it and go away so the rest of us with taste can enjoy.

  • i wonder what music u actually like... i'll LOL now to save myself time later.....

  • Woodstock...

  • Saw them in 94 at the wodosock in the catskills NY MUDSTOCK trippinnnnnnn

  • best show ever i was too young to remember everything else but i still remember p4p rocking out and tht clown scaring the crap out of me

  • "I used to dance like that in high school, you know..." lmao

  • Perry was definitely ahead of his time. Way cooler than the crap out there today.

  • Can't agree more....All the "Alternative" bands owe their success to Jane's. ALL of them, Nirvana got all the credit for opening up to the main stream but, Jane's opened up the record labels.

Then all of the festival concerts spawned off of Perry's Lollapalloza. If only Jane's could get along they would be todays Led Zepplin.

  • i actually went forward a page and then came back just to agree with u (thats how committed i am to this statement) ....... janes made it all happen ... but what respect do they get from almost anybody??? f all

  • What a great performance! Shit, how old is this? I saw Porno for Pyros in 92 or 93 before the album even came out! Still love em!

  • The only sore spots in this performance are Perry, Gary Shandling, and Dr. Phil. ( heh )

  • saw these dudes at glasto in 93 - genius!! look it up on utube - fireeaticropedancinluvlies!! moooooore!

  • 1:39 hahaha

  • guitar player is da cooLesT!!

  • great bass

  • hehe...look at perks hair

  • I saw them 2 weeks before this at a small club in Germany. One of the best shows I've ever seen!

  • after all this time, they are still way ahead of where we are now in artistic practice. i think they died because they evolved too fast for minds on treadmills.

  • I agree 100%... this band had the magic.

  • I cannot see where...

  • I think the questions they pose and what Farrell keeps his mind busy with are not extraordinary. I'd agree with that. It's just that he's brutally honest in the way he answers them lyrically and musically. I think I can hear his existentialist cries, which become particularly loud in "sadness". Even better, he is not a desperate quitter, a case often observed in people who operate at such high levels of abstraction. imo...

  • way to go..bravo

to great extent it is critical sublimation of PFP artwork

  • joasia989 IF YOU DONT SING NORE PLAY AN INSTROMENT THEN YOU CANT TALK.

  • I sing in my school chorus and learn to play guitar and still don't like it. It's my opinion, you don't have to agree with me and I respect it. That's all. Take care :D

  • Your'e fuckin retarded...

  • actually this is a band that could easily reunite and put out a third album. many many fans would approve.

  • very true=]

  • I would love to see them put another CD out. I am ALWAYS looking for live stuff from them. Its easy for Janes but P4P is alot harder. I saw the first tour and had tickets for the second one but they canceled right after the Private Parts release party. They then formed Janes again and I got to see Janes again which was GREAT. BUT I so wish I saw the PORNO fOR PYROS SHOW from there second CD. I think I like that one even better than the first. I am just a Perry Fan. Anyone have live P4P let meno

  • I think they had to cancel due to Peter DeStefano's testicular cancer. I was gonna go also, but I'm glad he survived and is o.k. today! :)

  • perry's awesome

  • Great song. I saw them live in 96 or 97 at a small club in SF and they were amazing

  • would have loved to see them on the 'good god's urge' tour. didn't really dig the debut album
