This interview was great up until the 19th second then i immediately swtiched off. His answer was too damn long. If i was that interviewer, i'd be scared to ask the next question. They want to see self esteem. It is not arrogant to sell yourself; in todays job market you will need to do that before you start selling the company's ideas and products. A year ago I went for an interview for a management post in a distribution firm- I was well qualified & experienced, but they gave the job to this slick younger guy in a perfect suit. In the feedback they criticised only my ‘physical presentation’.

About 6m later this guy had to leave, after numerous ‘misconduct’ complaints from female members of staff. Turns out he had a history of this, but no-one was allowed to mention it on his references- he just came across as an amazing high-flyer!
