You could probably get a better sound by listening to the song via head phones while playing and merging the original song with your recording using a program like Audacity (it's free!).

I don´t take any lessons and just do self-educating. But I think that I have to take at least a few lessons to learn how to hold the bow better. Hope I´ll play as nice as you some day ;-)

They are a great mixture of both, with an excellent violin, if you don't know the,, i highly recommend you to listen to WIthering Rose and Where the Heroes Die. Violins in metal, yeaahhhhh
