2. Enter your iPod into DFU recovery mode > plug it into your computer > open up iTunes and it should give you an option to restore it back to the factory settings (google search how to enter DFU mode if you don't know how)

3. Go to the website iClarified for proper instructions on how to jailbreak (i prefer pwnage-tool)

hey man,all you have to do is,plug in your USB and try the process that you have been jailbroken with Greenpois0n more than 3 or 4 times rejailbreak your ipod,and then close the green pois0n let your USB still plug in..and open the iTunes leave your ipod touch 2g for while,i mean half and hour or so.leave it a rest,then you will see the restore firware on your iTunes,and just do it ,but you do not get the data anymore that you had before....mine is working again,

Well I can tell you that the same thing happened to me so wat I did was hold down the power button and the home screen as to pit it in dfu mode but shorter u release right before it goes into dfu mode ( it's sort of like a short reboot) this should help if not then I suggest restore it and then jailbreak again

NOTE: I used green poison as my jailbreak and I didn't get right the first time either just b patient with it keep repeating the steps if necessary but I only did it once and I'm good eve

You need to first connect your Apple logo stuck iPhone to iTunes.

And then hold the Home button and Power button at the same time for 10 seconds.

After 10 sections, release the Power button. Do not release Home button, keep holding the Home button another 10+ seconds. You will see a message in iTunes that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.

Your iPhone is in DFU mode now. Click OK and click Restore button in iTunes.

This is not an easy task.
