not for nothing but god forbid a child or someone pulls out from there parking space in front of you that would really be bad just saying be very care full. anyway i love the 428 motor from PMD i think they where the best motor they came out with good luck and have fun with it.
Was this in Los Angeles? When I lived there, I used to see a similar Firebird with the same black primer, parked all around Hollywood. It had the orig. CA Blackplates, and the funny thing was the corner of the RH rear quarter was SMASHED all the way up to the rear window!! Damage looked like it happened several years earlier too. It was still being used as a Daily Driver, like nothing happened!! Thing was AWESOME...
@Austeenob with a running motor and decent shell youre looking at around 6500.00 or so. Put it this way, I just finished building a pretty tame street/ strip 400 small block for around 2400, havent touched anything (and it all needs touching) pretty solid body, needs a hood and a few patch panels, it's a daily driver, but its a solid 8000-9500 car. Old muscle aint cheap- but its worth it. Safer then the stock market. lol.
@bradenn Ok you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. A trans-brake or stall converter would be something you would do to a AUTO car, this my friend, has a 4speed MANUAL.
Sweet Firebird! I have a restored '69 Firebird for sale and taking offers. I have like 8 videos of it here on youtube, check it out if you get a chance.
there was no such thing as a firebird with a 428 the first gens only went ot 400s but yes my dad has a 428 HI-PO in his birdie and that fucker moves but it is a TH400

nice car but can you tell me if the 428 came in a fire bird? i thought the 400 was the biggest you could get in a first generation.
woogie88888 2 years ago
You just don't see First Gen Firebird's anymore.Restore that man, well, maybe not a "from the factory" restore, but get that thing looking pretty.
Nice car.

ok listen up kiddies a 428 isnt even a GM power plant, its a ford motor along with the 429cobra-jet the only big block GM is a 427
badTrX250R 3 years ago
You my friend are an idiot. Pontiac has a 428 and 455 plus there is no big or small block with Pontiac.
bubbatooth 3 years ago 3
the car looks good in the matt black paint
and 428 is a bold and power full bigblock
1966caprice 3 years ago
I thought 428's were only offered in the big Full-Sized cars?
pwkid 3 years ago
the difference between wat was offer and what you can shoe horn into the engine bay my friend. Im not sure if it came factory in that year though
phobiablack 3 years ago
haha for sure! I heard Royal did that on their bobcat cars or something like that.
BUT I'm sayin if it was offered ONLY in full-sized cars, why is this dude claiming its a 428 from factory?
pwkid 3 years ago
Classic - original 428 4 speed! You keeping this one?
