i think the police were obviously concerned that some pissed student was going to fall on the line, then everyone would be "why did the police let this happen?"
This is fucking embarassing! Shame is the English think getting pissed and going 'Wooooo' is fun! How imaginative! This is why most other nations consider it the height of stupidity to get this fucked up...On a train! Yippee let the party begin!
they bannned the acohol from the london underground they should instead surrownd every single london ungerground station and cheak if people are drunk
Thick bored booze-obsessed sheep with a pathetic nice safe middle-class "rebellion". Whatever happend to enjoying your own mind and senses without poison?
The tube coldn't afford to close cos that would have meant severe delays on the network , lost revenue and everything else on top..maybe people should think before setting out and doing something stupidm and un-needed like this. They obviously didn't care before , wo why now? To prove a point..I thik not..to cause a misery..yes!
Personally I think this is disgusting. I agree with Titan..just cos the ban came into effect , some "clever" people (and I use the term loosely) decide it would be clever and come out and drink on the tube just for the sheer fun of it , causing problems no doubt and misery for other commuters leading to the police shutting the stations down because of people's sheer biligerence and stupidity...sure it sounds like fun , but when you have the safety of network and other commuters to think about
FLIPPING DUNKS!!!!, because them the service was seriously disrupted and 6 trains had to be taken of service, anyone who was involved in that is an idiot
see the faggot trying to hit the train at the start then look at his mate as if he wanted a kiss! haha MEN SHOULD NOT WHERE PINK IT IS FOR POOFS AND MORONS LIKE THE ONES ON THESE VIDOES POSTED ON HERE.TOTAL BUNCH OF MUGS.
Stupid party. Causing inconvenience for people using the tube as a transport system instead of a party venue. Causing more inconvenience to commuters going home via Liverpool Street, by making them close it!
Most people don't drink on the tube in the first place, so why did everyone felt the urge to be sheep and drink on the tube that night was most odd. (I know about the new law)
I would have to admit if I was trying to get to venue and discovered my train station was closed because of drunk people, I would be annoyed.
haahahaha get a SOH you political types. Im sure many people didnt think about boris. far as me and my mates were concerned it was a party. And the law bit goes with the natural rebellious anarchic spirit of being a young person!! You were one once right?
Pissed idiots? Yes. It was a party. something called FUN!
Advice: let go once in a while and do something SILLY and LIVE FOR THE MOMENT. I bet boris thought it was hilarious but cant say so :P
100% behind Boris Johnson - the little nobodes who took part in this pathetic attempt at rebellion achieved nothing apart from making themselves look like the immature non-entities that they are
The UK is rejecting the politics of the left, tolerance and politicial correctness are being replaced with hardline attitudes towards trendy lefties and their failed policies
"making themselves look like the immature non-entities that they are"
you TWAT..
This was a rebellion against the nanny state. OK probably not a right that the greater masses participate in but the prohibitation of drinking on the tube is another infringement on our civil liberties. i took part, damn it was fun. you sound like a sad prick

Why wouldn't you take part? Boris banning actually drinking on the tube wont stop drunken people from getting on the tube ban makes little difference anyway. "The little nobodies" who took part were thousands of people just generally having a good time the atmosphere was great and yet more contained than i thought it would be. Nobody was there to achieve anything except exercise the right to drink there for the last time but everybody had a great time. I don't know who you think you are to judge
I didn't grow up in the Blair era I'm older than that and I'm not male. If you're lapsing to purely speculative false personal abuse to reply you're really in no position to tell me to grow up.
how can you say "having a good time"is being in liverpool street staion getting pissed, causing mayhem to people who had families and wanted to get home.what about pepes who needed medication?insulin dependents, heart tabs etc etc and yet cudnt even get home to get them, you small minded simpleton-its more shocking the longer it goes on this convo
This was as much Boris' fault as it was the pissed idiots'. By putting up signs giving notice that alcohol was to be banned, it was turned into an 'event' to be somehow celebrated... If signs just went up on 1/6 just saying that you can't drink anymore then this whole thing would've been avoided...
I had a little kid in my carriage close to tears , asking her mum when she'll get home because the train had been halted for over half an hour. There's ways of having fun without getting pissed, violent, hitting on everything and just generally "having an attitude problem". Too many people in London DON'T know how to have fun. For them fun necessarily involves getting drunk and having a go at other people. Respect is the key and not enough people have it. All they have is an attitude problem.
I'm sure the kid survived. Who is being violent in this video? Who is "hitting on" anyone? Where is the attitude problem in this video? Good natured and friendly as far as I can see. No one here is having a go at anyone and everyone here is having fun. Perhaps you should lighten up and have a beer.
one other thing id like to add: the people who seemed to be causing the most harm to others from my perspective (i was at liverpool street station) were the police. i saw one man wrestled to the ground for lighting a cigarette, and when they were clearing the station, two of the people i was with were innocent victims of the filth, one given a black eye froma a truncheon hit, and one held on the ground with her head held down by a policemans boot.
as any1 thought about how DANGEROUS dis was by having this party! I was Travelling from Victoria with my young family, dis silly circleline gathering frightened my young children. MOST IMPORTANTLY it could have given terrorist the fine opportunity 2 strike, then u all wouldnt b laughing ol. It was very, very frightening. 1 last thing de filth from some people 2 urinate on de platforms, because there was no toilets on de trains. Its discusting when young kids ave 2 witness dis kind of behavour.

Honestly mate in a couple of years when you've grown up a bit, you'll look back at the footage and cringe. It makes me cringe now.
