  • I call bs, ur sl2 and sc are still s series. The engines are exactly the same, same with trans besides the stick/auto

  • pretty good, my friend just bought an sl1

  • wow thats.....amazing.

i have a weed wacker i got from walmart about 6 years ago it stopped working about 4 years ago.

ill trade you for the saturn

  • So whats all this people are saying about saturns being fast? Havent seen a fast one yet.

  • My sc2 does that in about 9... 5 speed manual :D

  • would be faster w a 5spd woot!

  • Holy shit, only 25k miles?!

  • @DoubleRambow

Now it has about 42-43k. But yeah back in may 27 2008 it only had 25k.

  • i got a 97 saturn sl, tried 1 to 60 at a slight upward incline and i got 13.4 for level would be around 12.

  • @eulaylia

Yeah thats similar. I also have a 0 to100 video of the saturn on here. Not to mention I got my Camaro 55-162 mph video also and a bunch of other videos that you might enjoy if you check out.

  • @projectexpedite yeah i was checking them out love ur camaro lol :D i'm new to modding cars and such...are there any simple mods i could do to gain acceleration?

  • @eulaylia

    For your saturn ?

  • I counted 14.

  • @5StarDirector

    You counted incorrectly.

The 0-60 run is from the very beginning of 0:03 to the very beginning of 15.

I know people make mistakes but.... how did you count 14?

  • Never underestimate a saturn. I have a 2000 SL1, and it's a pretty nippy car. not fast, but it can move for the engine it has. only 45,000k on mine :P

  • its only 100hp i had a 1999 saturn sc1 and it had 124hp i had it dyno tested. but i dont have it any more some idiot in a volkswagen vr6 hit me.

  • Lol I love it... I have a 2001 SL1 same specs... probably 11 seconds for mine

  • holy shit theres like no miles on it!

  • lol yeah its still a baby

  • i went 80 down a residential street in my ls1, but it was 2:30 am so there was no people. for a slow and weak car it will bring the adrenaline.

  • I went 145mph in a 30 zone 2 blocks from my house at like 2 or 3 am. That's like 115mph over the limit or almost 5X the limit. That was nuts.

  • in what? I know it wasn't no saturn.

  • My Camaro which I am driving even in the snowy past 3 days in this crazy Chicago weather.

    search for...

155 mph drive by in a 2002 Chevy Camaro z28

It's one of my other videos uploaded on this youtube account.

  • @projectexpedite ive seen ur video, nice ass camaro

  • @speacialperson12345

    Thank you very much.

  • @projectexpedite how bout super nice camaro? ive been looking for 1 but idk what to go for and im still wondering about insurance, wont be cheap for me...

  • @speacialperson12345

What do you mean you dont know what to go for ?

  • @projectexpedite uhh, 6 cylinder, or 8cylinder Z28 or SS idk which one bc insurance is expensive for me...but i want a Z28 more

  • @speacialperson12345

Lets start with the basic questions.

    What city/state you live in?

    How old are you?

And do you have a job and money saved up?

  • @projectexpedite mmk, i live just outside of philly in the suburbs, Pennsylvania

Well, im only 17, i can drive stick, my current car is manual

I do not have a job or money saved up, if possible i was going to have my dad buy the car then id make the payments, however, id have to get another job

I know someone with a 97 camaro z28, hes 17 but his dad is paying for his car

id have to get another job bc my dad isnt gonna pay my insurance which would prolly b like 4grand roughly maybe less a year.

  • @speacialperson12345

    What is your current car.

Your going to need a job not only to buy and insure another car but to fix it to because used cars you can never be too sure about.

If you want power, I would look for a 98-02 LS1 V8 engine Camaro or Firebird. That's the Firebird Formula, Firebird Trans Am, Camaro Z28, and Camaro SS.

You can insure it for like $1300 a year for liability like $100-110 a month or full insurnace which is going to cost you double that.

  • @projectexpedite my current car is a 99 saturn sl1, which is amazing on gas, about $20 a week, nd i have a full tank. and the reason i watched this vid is bc i have a saturn.

Oh, how old r u because im pretty sure that it will cost more than 1300$ a year even just liability because of my age but then again that seems right beause its just liability, idk u think that would be right even though im 17...?

  • @speacialperson12345

I was paying $190 a month for full with allstate when i was 20 and i had a ticket on my record for speeding and improper lane usage and that wasnt too bad.

Then I went to paying $92 for libility, and then I didnt get a ticket on my record for a while and its now $55 a month for liability and im 21 years old now.

  • @projectexpedite oh wow, thats pretty cheap, maybe i will have to be in good hands with allstate then.

  • @projectexpedite I'm 18 and I'm paying $192/month for this exact car, and I have a clean driving record. I'm with the cheapest company both me and my insurance broker can find!

  • @wiz2111

Maybe your location or maybe because you don't have anyone like a parent on the policy?

  • That's amazing. Why doesn't anyone drive it? Is it that disliked?

  • I had two other cars I would rather drive, my Chevy Camaro and my Ford Ranger. And right now the Camaro is getting a new tranny by July 1st-3rd. Can't wait to drive it again. I got that one up to 162mph, put 4000 miles in 3 months and now has 102,500 miles on the meter.

  • I can see why then. I'm a fan of Saturn, but not as much of one as I am Camaros, and I wouldn't be stupid to choose the Saturn over the Camaro.

  • Damn, look at the mileage. Do you ever drive the freakin' thing?

  • this car is so slow i flooring it and it not going no where .

  • What are you talking about, its a damn race car! (sarcasm)

  • your not trying hard enough!!! i can get my 1996 saturn sl to 60 in about 9 seconds!! stock everything...its great for a stock 102 hp engine!!

    I LOVE MY SATURN!!!!

  • even with a stock sl1 he should be running under 11 0-60. Perhaps its old maybe its new maybe its loaded down with ppl. If yr not trying to hard thats a fair time.

  • Comment removed

  • You are flooring it right

  • see, thats why i got the sl2. 24 horsepower and a for more ft. lb. of torque make a big difference only now its starting to spudder when i gas it. middle of winter though and i forgot the heat or whatever.

  • i have a 98 sl1, previously owned by my aunt who cant take care of anything, so it was in pretty bad shape. id be impressed if i could make it in 15 seconds...haha, i still have some work to do on it, new oil, air intake and some new filters

  • Something doesn't sound right. Just over 50mph i hear the engine bog down for a split second. What's that all about?

  • I don't know but when I have the chance I will try to borrow it and take it for a TAKE TWO.

  • Yeah I heard that hiccup, doesn't sound too healthy

  • I have a 98 Saturn and I was wondering the same thing about the transmission doing that but if you read in the manual that comes with the car, it says that all Saturns have a "transmission feature" where during high acceleration or whatever, the RPMs will drop a little and then go back up to add more power. Or something like that. It'd definitely not something bad happening to your car. It's supposed to do that.

  • I'll believe what you're telling me, but that's really odd it's supposed to do that.

  • It could also be a worn out EGR valve

  • Or maybe he has 1,024,926 miles haha you should put an intake on it if you haven't already. I've put an intake and a glasspack muffler on my SOHC and it feels pretty zippy, I have yet to time it tho.

  • Under 25K on a 1996??? Damn... I have 251,800 on my 1995 ! :)

  • yeah no kidding.. I got 140,000ish on my 96

Its also on its 3rd tranny and second motor.

  • I'm on my 2nd tranny, but the original motor.

  • I have 137k on my 98 Saturn and it's all stock. Only thing done to it were new tires and oil changes. I can tell the tranny is going bad though. On hot days, when I put it in reverse, nothing will happen for at least 5 seconds then it'll go BANG and SLAM into reverse. :( :(

  • hahaa.. same on mine.. hehehe lol i just hit 148k

  • I have a video of my family's old 96 sl1 0-60, it was around 10
