When it's YOUR home and YOUR land that's flooding its hard to see the beavers plight. The beaver population is doing very well in our area and they're coming into conflict with a lot of farmer and home owners. The local municipality has spent thousands and thousands of dollars this summer digging out culverts and blowing up dams. The dams on our land alone have to be blown up weekly or else our house would flood. The water is 50' away and rising. They probably had this dam fixed the next day.

Works much better if the load is placed on the water side of the dam as deep as possible. The weight of the water forces the power of the explosion towards the dam resulting in much more damage to the dam. Less debris is thrown as well
