  • Wauw, thanks!

  • @bbnne1 Would you be point a judgemental finger onto someone else if you respected The Father, so to speak? Remember 3 more fingers are pointing back at you.

  • Yes, I agree that sometimes people are blinded by money. What I don't agree with is that it is wrong to try out free money to then give your honest opinion. That is up to you, also it is up to other to realize they have to make their own opinions on what might work and what might not work.

Everything is money. Time is money, unfortunately we are not all accountants that live comfortably.

  • wow you sound like my momma when you was like Annie stop...thats scary..hahahaha

  • Amen

  • I have learned so much from you and my hair is reaping the benefits. So I would like to take this time to say thank you for your time, sharing your knowledge and encouragement.

  • thank you this is so informative

  • i love the fact you not paying to talk to people you doing it help people grow hair i fell you like you true true

  • i love the fact you not paying to talk to people you doing it help people grow hair

  • Too funny!!! But hey, you're only being honest and stating how you feel... I must admit that I have observed some youtubers that started out talking about their real hair but now only wear wigs/weaves. It's obvious that they are promoting the product. But hey, it's all good, to each his own. I would only lose respect for them if they are telling lies to viewers to make that quick buck.

  • I understand what you are saying. However, I personally like product reviews. But besides that, sometimes it's good to try new things even if what you have works, you never know if there is something better out there. In the e-mail it just ask you to TRY it...BUT ultimately, people need to do their own research, advice is nice, but everyone needs to be responsible consumers. You are right, product doesn't grow your hair, it's all about the care you give it. :)

  • i just started posting videos about the products that i use! i did not know that they be using people like, i thought everyone was just giving a review because they wanted to let people know how products worked for them, I am deleting my hair product video today! I love your honesty and will definitely be watching more of your videos!

  • i love your videos. the one thing that i thought made a difference in my hair was when a just stopped caring. by that i mean, all det washing blowdrying and flat ironing my hair as often as i did. one point in my life i used to flairon my hair everyday. i know, what was i thinking. im so happy now, ive been a subbi here for a while, and im now not confused about maybe i should try this or that. (kinda hard to try it all since i live in the northern europe:P) thank you for making me confident

  • great video hun.

  • i love this video. someone actually here for the people :P now what i really wish is for people to open their eyes up like this on politics. they'll find out some REAL disturbing mess. i hate it when people say "i dont want nothing to do with politics" but. wait a second doesnt that effect your life too. smh. we need more people like you honest real here for the people and not for the money

  • This is one of the best videos that I've seen on YT!

  • i love you QB you are the best i like the way you talk keep it up . You are the bomb gal !

  • Hi QB. I normally do not write to anyone on Youtube, I mainly surf. However, I must say that after watching one video by you (that I happened to click on from another page), I had to subscribe. I've been growing my hair since 08 and have had good success with growth, but i have a little more time until I achieve your length. Anyway I want to say that I am ABSOLUTELY inspired by you. God Bless you for being true to us and yourself! And you are right on about these posers on here. Love u too!

  • Love you, QB. I'm writing from England. I think you're the realest video on hair that I've found in TWO YEARS of searching youtube for the real thing. You're bloody brilliant! Keep at it!

  • Thank you, i only really watch you, and this video has helped me, i havespent sooo much money and after you saying you only use oils made me like you even more <3

  • i truly agree with u ladys{i found myself doing that as well until i saw this chann n i said no way im not buyin nothin else n i find out that all that mess dont work for my hair now others i dont no but not mine so im leavin my hair alone n im doin a sew n this week thxs so much for b n u {real}GOD bless u

  • It's 4:05 am & I just discovered your channel and I feel like God send you to help me!!! Cause I have been up for weeks till midnights watching mixed girls promoting all kinds of products. And I felt like spending all my scholarship on those products. Right now I am going to save that money to finish college, get some sleep and subscribe to your channel!! Thank you so much for being so real!!!

  • Hey QB! it's been at least 9 mounth that i'm following your advices and I'm loving it !it' s really simple and realisitic... I'm proud to say that's it's working. I saw great results my hair is pretty much healthier thicker and so i can see my hair is growing. The most important thing in it, it's to be patient, gentle and to love our own hair.

Thanks God, I confirm I also feel like it's God who wanted you to share it with us.

Thank you for all! God Bless you.

  • u are as real as they come. i've got mad respect for you...

  • thank you so much!! you help keep young black women like me know that i can have results just by doing the easy inexpensive steps of growing my hair..thank you for not PUSHING PRODUCTS but telling us the truth that it does not have to cost an arm and a leg

  • If you aren't the REALIST hair person on YouTube I don't know who is! I'm truly inspired. I have been on YouTube for awhile and this is my first comment. You are the truth! Keep it up :o)

  • Your integrity is amazing!

  • i appreciate your honesty because many people live day to day selling there souls for the money.......

  • lol so much truth in your words !!!

  • Thank you for being real, we need more people like you, God bless and keep spreading the word then maybe one day we will all have a good head of hair, carol from England

  • fuck them all keep shooting your videos luv them all lol

  • lmao.......I wonder has ateyya seen this.........Something sad man........WOMEN BECOME PRODUCT PICTURES ON YOUTUBE........Kinda reminds me of the Crack Epidemic in 80's. HA!

  • OMG u r 2 funny. i was laughing soo loud when i heard the vid. u r right, i was finding myself becoming a product junkie after watching sooo many reviews. some YT ppl r always promoting a new product constantly, like nothing else works but their stuff---that's it. Or stuff they got for free & saying Go 2 this link, buy. what's up?? lol i was starting to SMH like no, i ain't buying nothin' else! i'm stickin to the basics, very few products!!! Thx u told it right QB

  • Peace Queen.

Thankyou very much for your honesty, it is appreciated

    .

  • Thank you for being honest. I recently purchased a product that one of the women recommended. The product I purchased was not what my hair needed.

  • You are the TRUTH!

  • LOL!!! haha this was sooo funny

  • LOOL at 7:15... "It aint yo damn hair!" Haha love it. This whole video is like you just talk from the heart and saying what you feel. You are very inspiring!

  • You're actually AMAZING! I love you and your realness. Don't change for nobody.

  • i was sad @ 6:36 cuz thats what i do =( lol owell...

  • ur ryt but like u said i do it just to show other girls what i use. i love to look at what pple use so i thought id share too..idk..its fun for me. and btw i love ur vids!

  • 2:05 was funny

  • @Justasimpleservant I was afraid of trying it and wanted more assurance before buying it online so I went to Sephora. They will help you decide the best color and do a mini makeover on half your face. You could try that and it would let you know if it was right for you or not.

  • LOL @ "what is the point???"

  • I'm one of your new subcribers and I wanted you to know, THANKS for the information. Your great.

  • How much money do these youtube people make anyway??

Cause i aint ever heard anybody tell how much they make. Like they act like its some secret that just cannot get out. Is there some contract they half to sign not to say anything. Im just wondering...

  • Although I started to get your point near the end I disagree. Just because you have tons of money outside of youtube its not fair to mock others that make money from youtube. Making YT money doesn't automatically make you a liar or some money hungry crackhead. Some people like to try new things. I also believe now that you must disclose if you were given products for free. I make videos because I got excited about my hair after I went natural and finally grew some. If I can make money too. Yay!

  • @Justasimpleservant Well i will have to say to every thing aint for everybody but I use bare minerals and it is indeed the absolute best makeup. I get nothing but compliments when I wear it. Awesome product and I dont get any money to say that. I actually have never met anybody that uses it that disliked it. I have also seen nothing but rave reviews but I started using it a few years back. I did meet someone with real bad skin once and it wasn't handling it well but maybe wss better than others.

  • I agree alot of vids are overloaded with products but there are some natural hair vlogger such as myself that have been natural for years that dont push different products.

  • You better get a camera soon because I'm ready for more videos from you. Thank you for teaching us things and not being selfish. The two most important things I learned from you thus far are massaging for blood stimulation to the scalp and products don't make your hair grow. I'm ready for more knowledge.

  • LOLOL this video is funny and true

  • @beijosparavoce ok I just watched the ending. Got deep in the end there. I love your vids. I am a relaxed, hip bone length girl. Started my journey and became a hair junkie. I love my hair. Since I moved to europe (and I have nothing but some cheap conditioner, water and olive oil) my hair is STILL growing and flourishing. Havent relaxed since June cuz I have to wait for it to ship here, and I aint gettin breakage. Aint that the truth.

  • You are the TRUTH!!!! Keep keepin' it real!!!!

  • I DONT CARE WHO WANNA GET MAD BUT ALL IMA SAY IS ( ULOVEMEGZ,NUNAAVE,AND MANY MORE.... THIS IS WHY I STOPPED WATCHING HAIR VIDS

  • I love this video! I agree with u in so many ways, I once was a product junkie an realizedthst my money was being washed down the drain. Just picking the products that work best and sticking to them is all that is needed! U are amazing!!

  • I get soooo sick of product reviews! Its like some of my favorite hair gurus are beginning to get on my nerves with these damn product reviews lately! Like why would you risk your hairs health by using all of these different products every other day?

  • OMG @ 6:30 LMAO yes that is excatlly how they do. I love it when ppl can speak the TRUTH like you. Love your vids. and Thank You for your message, plz keep the vids coming

  • i think it's to each his own. i started doing videos with the purpose of sharing my own journey, not to become a "guru" or a partner. but for those women who are partners, i don't knock what they are doing. that's their business. i don't care about the product they are reviewing or selling. i'm going to consider their advice but do what works for me anyway.

  • Well, some products worked and some didn't, but that is okay. U have to remember, "to each it's own". The products that I felt that didn't work, I gathered them up and took them to a women's shelter.

    Keep the videos coming,

    Love ya.

  • I really love this video. I've been transitioning for 10 months and people always ask me what products I use and when I say things like coconut oil they get disappointed. They ask "what product lines do you use?" and I don't really use any. I'm a broke college student trying to grow healthy hair and have no room 4 that.

  • Love your Vid , but do you still love Jamaican black castor oil?

  • thank you for the truth....

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!! YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH ON SO MANY VOLUMES (hence ur ursername lol) but yeah, so many women out here make fake ass reviews on products such as one individual (I will not say the name) who constantly makes videos on janet collection wigs...and every single wig, she loves it, that is so fake and inconsistent, how can u like every single wig from that one company? the honesty level and moral on YT is so low now, but again thanx for making this video :-)

  • I disagree with your view point. There is advertisement every where why not YouTube

  • @1mrsjackie I both agree AND disagree w/her in that ppl need to take other's reviews w/a grain of salt and don't just go buying everything just because ppl rave about it. However, I do know of a few ladies who give their honest opinion about products that are from other "sisters" who have a business selling hair care products and I definitely don't see anything wrong with that.Everybody else makes money off of "us" so why not try to work with and support our own?

  • That's true i waisted so much money from watching these videos, but i would love to make some money in a honest way. Thank you for that though,

  • While I understand what you are saying and appreciate it, I don't have a problem with YT video makers who review products. Most state the product was given to them for free. There is nothing wrong with using youtube to make money. Most of the BSS in our country are run by Koreans and if Black American women want to move their money into their own online or small boutique BSS I say more power to them. I like that you advocate fewer products, but some people like to try new things.

  • I really thank you for this video. I started my hair journey a month ago after looking at a video on flexirds. One click led to another. I have purchased a bunch of products in one month because of all the product recommendations. I started noticing the heavy product promotion wondered if they were getting paid. I should have known better because i had apl hair before this hj w/o all these products. Saw this video on Hairlista; and because of your honesty, I subscribed immediately! Thanks

  • Very true. People give up a lot because of that stick with some carrot bits dangling in their face. Its a ethical dilemma.

  • Hi Q I was just wondering is it okay if just use evco as a moisturizer and seal with sweet almond oil would that be considered the Moisturize and seal method ????? BTW I LOVE YOU JUST BECAUSE YOUR SO DIRECT YOUR JUST LIKE MY MOM and we need that keep that up and you will forever have me as a subscriber as long as you keep making the vids I will be back :)

  • @lexi0414 hey if THETRUTH cant get a chance to respond to this..I wanted to just tell you that in order to moisturize your hair, you should use a water based product and not an oil. I think THETRUTH uses coconut oil as a moisturizer though, cuz the properties are different in that particular oil (but she can correct me if Im wrong). I moisturize with a water based leave in (make sure there is NO mineral oil in the ingredients) and then I seal with any natural oil I want. I use EVOOHappy growing.

  • You are so real!! I love your attitude!! Thanks for keeping it real!! So many women get on the bandwagon and try to sell everything they can related to hair.

  • Wow! Do you realize that you made a similar video exactly a year to the date? lol. It's a shame that much hasnt change since then. I can truly say that I've unsubscribed to alot of people do to this push of products. Dont get me wrong, I love product reviews. However, some of this stuff is overkill. In addition, I have learned to simplify my routine. I no longer desire or need a whole bunch of products.

Keep doing what you do. Great videos!

  • @browniemiss I wish I could simplify my routine :(

  • This is why I love your channel =) Thanks Sista

  • You keep it real! LOL! I had to unsubscribe to the people who kept promoting their products in order to grow hair. It was getting annoying.

  • I really wish i didn't work during your live broadcast!!!! :( Thank you so much for keeping it real.

  • 100% real everything you say is the truth. When I walk into the BSS im just blown away by the sheer volume of products on display but i know that over 70% of them are either unecessary or dont even work but the average black woman is going to make her way through a lot of those products trying to find the amswer. Keeping the scalp clean and hair moisturised is all you need o do

  • yea i unsubscribed to alot of ppl too cuz their vids seemed too commercial to me. at first they was very truthful and now they're fake as eva

  • You are so self-less!...Thanks Gurl

  • LOL wot you said @ 7:29..till I discovered your vids, that was me!!!

keep it up QB, all the best to you, for sure

  • Hi Truth- Thanks for this video. Q-I noticed your shirt, does your shirt refer to your age? If so, I am so damn inspired. You are beautiful!!

  • I'm a recent subscriber and I really appreciate these informative videos! I just started growing my hair back out from the "Rihanna pixie cut" and now I have a short bob (ear length). It never really sunk in that oiling my hair and scalp is NECESSARY not optional so thank you for dropping the knowledge. Just bought some virgin coconut oil from the grocery store too and it's amazing! Thanks again for the REAL advice & tips. Keep em coming :)

  • i love u gurl!!!! keep being real, keep being u! <3

  • I AGREE %100. I have unsubscribed to several people in the past couple months because once they become partner their channel become a commercial or they start

making BS videos just to get views to get a check. I think its hard now to find someone who keeps it real.

  • I have a quick question...I always have used heat in my hair once a week after I wash my hair however I have felt the need to stop using some much heat do to the simple fact of possible heat damage. Now I have noticed a lot of shedding and I have not changed my routine. I know there could be possible factors like stress however this has just came about. I just wanted to know your thoughts though :) I feel your very informative keep up the good job!!!

    "T"

  • Well said!

  • I agree with you. There is no need to try every single product. I do not hate the grind but I do not like the obsession with trying everything even if you are making money. I'm glad im too cheap to try every friggin product out there!

  • Let the truth be told!!! Thank you

  • I love your point of view on this. I totally agree.

    Keep doing what you do!

  • thank you so much for all your advices, i have been applying them and i see really great results. :-). may all your good dreams come true. be blessed my sister

  • I FREAKIN LUV U FROM BEING SO REAL CUZ THE OTHER HEFFAS DIDNT

  • @tharealtreal HEFFAS LMBO!

  • l love her vids too

  • speak on it QB.

  • @MsGamble123 If you listening I'M SPEAKING! LET'S GO!

  • Lol I like you alot. You're so real and upfront about yours.

  • @asianeyedbeauty I don't know no other way! Thanks for the love!

  • I mean??? This is why I like you. after looking at the other video, I do find myself confused. BTW, I have been stiulating my scalp, and You just won't believe the new growth! Thank you, so much for keeping it real!

  • @toshyme GLORY BE TO GOD!

  • U SO REAL.

  • @partylite09 REAL RECOGNIZE REAL!

  • All I can say is thank you for this video.

  • @tamoniva12 All I can say is Thank you for watching!

  • I understand your point and I like the fact that you are not all about money. Its understandable that you do not want to particiapte but being on Youtube in and of itself is about promotion, advertising and marketing. That is the whole point. Google paid what , 1 billion for Youtube. Youtube is gonna find tons of ways to captialize. They will likely in the near future start charging people to have an account. However, that's great that you are one of those rare people not trying to capitalize.

  • @icecreamladydream You are so right in everything you say! If this is a reason that people mislead people to buy products than IT IS WHAT IT IS! Thanks for that perspective!

  • Thanks for sharing...

  • @tiffanyjay1211 Thanks for watching! Love you!

  • @2:57+/- = this is why I love me some TheTruthisHair. Say the dang thang sis!! Tell the truth and shame the devil. That's why I can't stand to watch certain people on here now. Fine, if you are going to get paid to show products to people or if you have been asked to advertise/promote products, be up front about it and and stop trying to shuck and jive like the sh*t don't stank when it really do. Nice to see someone with some integrity and genuiness left in this world. Love you, SK Esq.

  • @skhawkin You can't change people and what they do, you can only change yourself! That's why I SAY WHAT I WANT! HAPPY GROWING! LOVE YOU BABY!

  • You r da bomb!!!!!

  • @itsmytime123 You are too!

  • Amen

  • Say dat, sister.

  • your continued integrity and honesty keeps me watching and open to your suggestions because i know they are sincere. People like me who have been searching for years for methods of growing their hair don't need to be confused by marketing and business. I need sincerity and truth not BS and marketing tactics. For those who don't get it.... well... thats sad.

  • @MsLi512 Thank you Love for the comment! I personally don't thing it's sad Everything aint for everybody! I like to "keep it simple" FOR REAL! ;-)

  • You are so right...Thanks for your honesty!!!!

  • @missy312able No thank You!

  • But sis this is the world of business. This is what happens all over the world. When you go to the car dealerships located on the street for viewing, when you watch television regarding promotion of groceries, clothing, etc., etc., it is all business and in that vain there is a multiplicity of people behind every industry of marketing who are dependent on the sales of another. Think that in this economy, that this could be a huge BLESSING to someone to keep the lights on.

  • @debnheirs I hope you achieve your Hair Goals through all of the 'RED TAPE" of "Business" If you need a straight forward approach HOLLA AT YA GIRL!

  • @debnheirs alot of guru's aren't being honest about their reviews, so while that guru is blessed by keeping their lights on by reviewing something they didn't pay for, it's not fair to the people who looks up to that guru who goes and spend their hard earned money on something that wasn't worth buying.

  • @debnheirs Agreed.

  • So you cant give a fair review if you are getting paid? Wow that is really interesting ! Well I say do you and dont knock the next person because that attacks your own integrity. I dont make videos but I am a grown adult and well able to decide what I like no matter what someone says. I trust me and my instincts and there are things I wouldnt try regardless of who said they were great.

  • @miss2umister ABSOLUTELY I believe you CANNOT give a fair review if you are getting paid! And at the same time I'm not knocking no ones hustle!

  • I appreciate what you do. You are truly amazing! For the first time today, I noticed what was different about your page, it's clean, no pop-up ads, no side bar ads, nothing. Very refreshing and very generous of you.

  • @carolouann I LOVE SHARING WITH YOU GUYS! IT'S GIVES MY LIFE MEANING MORE THAN ANY SELL OUT MONEY!

  • Girl u are so right.... U should forward this video to a lot of you tube partners..

  • @marvtey Who shall I start with?

  • Your honesty is refreshing and we truly appreciate the fact that you are trying to sell something. I am so sick of my fave youtubers pushing products! You got youtubers that do natural hair vids pushing jewerly and everything else, its just sad.

  • @lboogie2679 Damn Gina! That's straight hustle man from the 5th floor type ish!

  • I would blast someone out but we all know whose guilty of this type of money hungry 'product review' crap!!

  • @iluvdamakeup2009 You ain't got to blast them they blast themselves! Hope they are happy when they cashing them CHECKS!

  • I can't promote what I haven't used or believe in. I was approached by a company; major haircare web company and decided not to review their products as they requested. I decided not to go along with what they wanted. They offered to send me products to review on YT. I felt I had to be HONEST. Additionally, I did not want to use myself as an experiment. Thank You!

  • @Apriluv7779 I would be scared as hell to try it. If it was good it would speak for itself you ain't got to pay me to do it!

  • WOW i really enjoyed this video hahaha I LOVE IT

  • @LaLaMicia Love you back!

  • Girl, u said it. It makes u wonder sometimes as to how it is done. I'm a recovering HCPJ-hair care product JUNKIE..LOL. I did it to myself, but I'm not complaining, I worked for my money to purchase these things, but I feel every word u r preaching, that is why I haven't uploaded any videos.

U r telling it like it is.

  • @mslazelle So what is your result from all of those products? Did they work?

  • I love your video's and your hair is amazing. I respect that you don't do reviews and talk about products. If I didn't respect it I wouldn't subscribe and watch your video's. That's real. Anyways I just had to get on here and say as much as I like your video's I'm not mad at the ladies making the product review video's and stuff. I know 100% that product don't grow hair but there are some that work better than others for conditioning, moisture, etc. Ok, I'm done, lol. Keep doing you. We luv U!!

  • @FAT2FIT333 I'm not mad at em either "Get Money" but Im here to do something else and that's to tell you the TRUTH! holla!

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • Thanks for letting them know Q. Too many people "product" obsessed thinking they gotta try EVERTHING on the market. On another note these so called guru's need to be honest when they are being asked to promote, yes there are products u may like and may wanna "praise" but be honest when u are doing a review for a company and not because it's one of ur favs...just saying

    Keep keeping it real Q.

  • @cassySan1 I couldn't have said it better myself!

  • Comment removed

  • @brownnbubblie Why did you leave?!?!?!

  • Thanks for reading out that email. I realised that there was a lot of business going on, but had not realise how abusive this can really be. Thanks again.

  • @HAIRhere Oh it's gets deeper you have no idea!

  • i just love it when you smile @ the end of your vids ! love it ! ok gotta stop commenting now, you'll think i am crazy, hahahaha

  • lmaooooo ! i can't stop laughing, omg ! 6'35 to 6'48 ! it smells like mango, bubly oh my God...blablabla argggh ! omg ! i juszt can't stop laughing ! why are you sooo true ??! i am like...oh wow ! just thanks !

  • @nunaavane One thing I love more than being myself is people who love me being myself!

  • SO TRUE..that is all!!
