Reminds me of my old place in To Kwa Wan... They should do a documentary about what happened to all the people after the walled city was taken down and the whole process of the dismantlement.
@anontrance - I think you underestimate the kinds of conditions people can survive in! But I agree it's trully incredible, I think they got by on community spirit and helping each other, and they did have numerous, though unlicensed, doctors and dentists
I think it would be impossible to give those people there electricity/water bills based on consumption, guessing it was a fixed charge per person? or it was free, lol.
Not to mention I wonder who was maintaining the pipeline structure in the building
and how no electric fires were started, and if one did start how did it not burn down the whole city?
There were no pandemics in that community?
How this place survived those kinds of flaws is quite something, and hard to beleive
Excellent video, so long waited to get inside scoop on walled city, fascination brought by shenmue2, infact manyy animes and mangas have this mazes of alleys concept.........
they have evrything, wonder why they dont get more lights in there, and how they breath its so not ventilated
with all those rats and darkness, how was it that there was never a pandemic?

Tis is interesting if the whole city is built on poor foundation y doesn't it sink into the ground or collaspe?
