The BBC want To kill our local radio we pay for local stations with local presenters and replace most of the output with Radio 5 live this cannot give us presenters who live in and have local knowledge . Richard was one of the long serving presenters axed by the previous Managing Editor Mia Costello at the time when she sent a memo containing the comment that she "didn't want to hear old voices on the radio." . Are the BBC and Radio Solent still operating an ageism policy?

@martinking4400 Old VOICES? on the radio? WOW the dear old auntie BBC is really getting things wrong. How old was Ms Costello's voice when she uttered such rubbish? perhaps she is lucky not to be in vision or being female she would herself be falling foul of the BBC ageism.
