when you block, you get pushed back less, lose less health (or take none at all)  and i think it might use less stamina, not sure about that last bit though.

Currently i'm using 'hermataur u' because it gives guard and guard up (for those pesky farts).

You get it by killing high level hermetaur but it also takes a lot of other things too.

The gravios fart?

You need a skill called 'guard up' and that will let you block the fart, and even the lazor!

'Hermataur U' gives the guard up skill and thats pretty easy to get.

ESP really helps with Black Gravios. I hate how you still do less damage, but at least you don't "bounce" off him.

I've only used guard increase in training. I assume it works for weapons other than lances?

It depends.  For example, a guard +2 on sns and GS works like the guard+1 on lances.

Emerald spear from plesioth stuff, from aqua spear.

Borealis set is from fighting g ranked lao, and tons of other stuff.

SSP is from finishing all 5 special trainings...well basically all 15 trainings with all 5 weapons.

Very nice, it seems that Gravios was the one that was up against the wall. Bring bombs when you do this to get his chest off quicker allowing you to do more damage. It would be so much better if you were to be able to keep the guard+ esp and toss in sharpness+ but I don't think thats possible. Only reason I say that is because the spear looses blue sharpness pretty fast.. You have a interesting taste in music. Well done. Happy hunting. :)
