Allowing them to marry would have expanded the insitiution of marriage; that insitiution has always been a breeding ground for inequality towards women and children. It's science, isn't it, which tells you that the A&E story is a myth. That contradicts the Bible, but you live with that, accepting that the creation story is 'spiritually true' (i.e., false).

Science also tells us that homosexuality is a normal, albeit rare, part of the human condition. Why accept some science and not others? Why accept only those bits of the Bible which bolster your personal prejudices?

"Some religion, asshole?" What kind of faith r u with language like that, FamilyGuy770? God gave us free will, yes, but homosexuality is just as much a decision as your heterosexuality. It just is. It's inate and has been since the dawn of time. Greeks used to celebrate same sex unions as rights of passage & a symbol of a "genuine matched love". I'm not saying it's right, just hoping it'll cure your arrogant way of thinking.

haha that is true and I am glad you respect my perspective and have convinced me to attepmt to understand where YOU are coming from. I get really passionate about people labeling others and insinuating that their hard life as a gay person is in some way a choice or wrong. Religious heteros will never know what it does to a person being told they can channge when they KNOW they can't. (Can you just pray to be CHINEESE?) I get passioinate and humbly apologize if I have disresprected you.
