  • i like the body of the 2000-2002 cavalier more than this one

  • this car may be bland MAN is it reliable and bloody cheap to maintain, least it wont die on you :)

  • my mom had a 1993 cavalier she bought it brand new in 93 and had it till 2005!! it was a great little car that gave her no problems at all the only thing she had to do through the years was replace the alternator once and battery tires and brakes that's it!! we miss that car!! great value for the money!!

  • I dont mind cavalier because they are cheap. But god that steering wheel is ugly.

  • hate these cars.

  • I had one I think it was a 2002, I don't know why people is complaining so much about manual windows and shit.. this car was the least expensive chevy in the USA and the second least expensive in my country, and it hold up well.. I do have the impression that japanesse cars hold up better, but impressions apart I didn't had a single problem with mine and the ride was much better than in a cheap japanesse car, everything felt more solid, from the doors to the steering wheel and everything else.

  • @mne202001 Gas is like pennies if you can afford to purchase and maintain a Bentley. I agree with you though, I like simple cars to own/drive. I wouldn't mind riding in a fancy car from time to time though as they are amazing.

  • I had 4 of these cars I have no idea what possessed me buy 4 of them cause they were all a POS Even had the resigned version the Cobalt that was a POS also. GM you just need to stop making cars completely. I have had better luck with other manufacturers why not take lessons from them..

  • @soyntgo4it they did take lessons from them hence why they have so many damn problems with them

  • @Chevyboy5700 Oh they did huh? ok if you think so.. Try no the didn't

  • @soyntgo4it take your ignorent little ass back to school and learn something before you come on here and talk about shit you know nothing about, have a good day

  • @Chevyboy5700 soyntgo4it is a gm bashing troll he just goes around on gm car vids and trash talks, trust me from previous expirences with him. just flag his posts as spam and don't reply.

  • I have an '04 Cavalier LS. I like it, and it can be a lot of fun to drive. Only thing that I don't like is the interior. It's held up well, but it seems so... stock.

  • they should keep making them

  • @toyota4runner1000 they killed them for the cobalt

  • u can have some real fun with those cars beat the fuck out of them and they still run

  • Everything in this car points to just transportation. Manual plus AM radio. Wasn't set up for long hauls.

  • This car is unusually clean.

  • This car is awesome!!!

  • I have a 2004 chevy cavalier, however mine is a coupe, it looks much better and just as much room, just harder to get in or out of. the interior is crap, but american cars are known for shit interior, but it runs nicely, and it has a really lightweight body, the curb weight is about 2,600 lbs. Plus the engine is simple easy to work out and easy to upgrade

  • @TheCJBridges yeah i had a 2004 chevy cavalier sedan with only 35,000 miles it was sitting for about 4 years in a barn since 2005 and i bought it in 2009 for about $500 fixed it up and everything i had it for about a 2 year and i totaled it, so i was pissed but it kept me safe i didn't get injured what so ever but it caught on fire after the wreck, now i drive a a piece of shit 1998 chevrolet van with almost 350,000 miles on it

  • when u are in drive, and the cavilers get reved to 5 1/2 RPM. there is this awsome wine from the engine. thats the dual cam

  • Wow everything is manual except the transmission.Lol.

  • I LOATHE cavaliers. Horrible cars.

  • Buddy of mine has one of these. Believe it is a 2000 model. Only 11,000 miles on it. It was his grandmas for a while and she never drove very much. So when he got it the car already had good miles on it.

  • Love this guy. Everything from Aston Martins to Cavaliers.

  • Just bought myself one of these. Same black color. 5 speed manual. Pretty nice car. It's sporty, but it's practical at the same time, and I really like that. lol the only thing on mine that's manual is the transmission. Can't believe this vehicle doesn't have power windows...

  • I'll be starting drivers ed on one of these today. Good idea to at least know whats what about the car! I can "Count on Kyle" for having the car I want to see.

  • How's it manual everything? The cars automatic

  • I have one of thouhs flr my frist car

  • SUNSET FTW. Are the interiors in these as bad as my dad's Silverado?

  • @HedgehogOutdoors probably...alot of general motors vehicles around this era had interiors with alot of cheap interior materials.

  • @form109 Well I guess I ain't getting one of these!

  • @HedgehogOutdoors other than the interior and dated underpinnings....the Ecotech engine is pretty reliable lol

  • i miss that car..:(

  • Do the rear seats folds down?

  • I have this car. I keep it tuned up, oil changes on time, routine maintenance. the most major work I've had done was only brake work. I thank God for this car. I see 2011 Fords, hondas etc. broken down on the side of the road with their flashers on while my Cavalier remains faithful. The engine is powerful enough to leave most V6 cars in the dust. This is when GM put effort into QUALITY of their cars. Ppl just don't know how to take care of their cars. This is truly one beast of a car.

  • That has to be the ugliest steering wheel ever designed in one of the cheapest interiors ever built by a car manufacturer! Gross!

  • @liddlebopeep

    The steering wheel isn't gross.

  • @liddlebopeep Then you sure haven't seen a lot of Japanese, French or Italian cars from about the same period...

  • @Foxchase92 You must be blind. A 2004 Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla has a much nicer interior than this

  • @liddlebopeep Then again, the Corolla base was like 5 grand more expensive than this. Same with the Civic.

  • Anyone know the name of the song that is playing at the beginning of the vid? Before he gets in the car. Please and thank you

  • i like the steering wheels and gear shifters on the newer cavaliers

  • My friend had a 2002 one for a loaned car for a week. The seats were low, steering wheel like a brick, hard plastics. But it had a spacious interior, powerful engine and we had a hell of a time driving it

  • @zondaf1000 Only decent cavaliers had the V-6 engine, the rest were eh

  • disgusting interior .

  • @ProtegeTuype it might look bad, but they are reliable. Ours has 289,000 miles on the clock and runs perfect and we did nothing to the engine

  • @RCCrashMaster Liar. If you never changed the oil, the engine would've seized a long, long time ago.

  • @liddlebopeep exept basic matenence like oil, spark plugs, ETC.

  • I really like these vehicles! I would love to buy one but noo idea what the fuel economy is like.. but I still love them haha

  • @DoseTheLegend17 mine gets almost 40mpg

  • not a bad car for a new driver

  • @Snickerdoodl Better than walking or taking public transit, but barely

  • mines is 2005 ls 4 doors 30.000 miles

    black

  • @xSxEcuuadorxLx cool stoory bro

  • Can i take that steering wheel and throw it at something?

  • mine is a 2001 and it has 93,000 miles on it. It runs good.

  • gotta love the songs in the background

  • When ever i watch a car reveiw their is always a good song playing

  • you fucking suck at given a tour

  • Fucking hate my cavalier! :(

  • @Hahaitssayed cavaliers should go to hell you go to love a honda

  • @kittykrew77 Americian made or Gtfo

  • mine is a 03 and it has auto window and mirrors -_-

  • typical car lot trick Replay the vid look real close at the front end carriage sections. This car was in a front end colision. All the parts look just painted. With 45K miles and 6 years what frauds.

  • i have a 2002, and it's great ; it's @ 188k miles and runs like a champ . i love it . . and if you're too lazy to roll a window up and , you need medical help , and a fitness trainer ! !

  • i have a 2002, and ir's great ; it's @ 188k miles and runs like a champ . i love it . . and if you're too lazy to roll a window up and , you need medical help , and a fitness trainer ! !

  • Manual window in a 2004..... lolz

  • @BetterDayz19 If you think that's bad, Kyle recently uploaded a 2011 Jeep Wrangler with manual windows.

  • @BetterDayz19 7 years later and it is STILL an option. wow.

  • @BetterDayz19 some brand new cars still have manual windows, and door mirrors.

  • @BetterDayz19 less tthings to go wrong. i do have a point

  • 4:51 song?

  • @TheDataZoo "Won't get fooled again" By The Who

  • great car have the 5 spd good on gas and never lets me down yet lol 120000km 11 years old

  • O gotta love those old crapaliers lol jk I kinda like this car

  • i have a 2 door 04 chevy cavalier and i love it. it runs well, and for small car it will go

  • The seats in these were very cheaply made and would fall apart badly.

  • would u recommend this car for a first car for a beginner driver?

  • @plkj13 If you get one with low miles you could keep it forever. These things won't die. But I would get the Ecotec 2.2. Much more torque and response than the standard OHV 2.2

  • @plkj13 damn right. Its no wonder so many new drivers drive cavaliers.

  • I actually prefer manual windows instead of power windows. You don't have to worry about the motor going out.

  • thats a gutsy sounding horn for such a small car.

  • this is a good car to use as a commuter car, or a train station car. not flashy but dependable.

  • I HAVE A 97 CAVALIER HOW MUCH IS A NEW PAINT JOB ANYBODY KNOW?

  • @jayblac A good quality paint job to paint the entire car can cost upwards of around $4,000 depending on the body shop's charge rates for a repaint job.

  • O.O is the steering wheel two spokes or four oddly placed ones?

  • the 1995-2005 Chevrolet Cavalier was assembled in

    Lordstown, Ohio, United States

    Lansing, Michigan, United States

    Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, Mexico

  • Fuel issues

  • im about to buy a 2002 cavalier with 116,000 miles on it...anything i should know about them? im checkin it out tomorrow..

  • @sjjdiienno1 You should know its one of the most unsafe car on our roads.

  • @chriscmoi yeah the guy was a tool and tried to sell me a car that was literally beat the fuck up. but i doubt that most unsafe thing haha. i bought a 91 skylark. all metal with no airbags. its on its way out though..fuck cars, trucks FTW!!

  • @sjjdiienno1 Go see the crash test of both the cavalier and neon. I wouldn't want to be a passenger in either of these cars.

  • @chriscmoi i could care less about safety tests and ratings...buy what you want or live in a bubble

  • I own a 97 Z24 with over 240,000km on it. I has never given me a problem, a Cavalier can be a good car if it's properly taken care of. I can however agree the interior was cheaply built, the plastics have a tendency to crack over time.

  • fucking hate cavaliers...

  • this car is SO much like mine...they didnt change a damn thing on the inside of those cars from '99 to '04

  • Most. inconvenient. spot. for. a. power. outlet. ever.

  • The seats are cheaply made my bad seat is falling apart

  • good thing Chevy replaced the Cavalier with the Cobalt. The interior and overall look is much nicer in the Cobalt... imo anyway.

  • Wait a sec... When you turned on the headlights, on the instrument panel it said the high beams were on. Why is that?

  • @maggio211 the high beams were turned on before he turned the lights on

  • we had this same exact model for 8 years and only have 61k miles on it and its already falling apart. windows motors are broken, transmission wont shift right... steering wheel locks once in a while. but if you are looking for a cheap car just to get you around town this car is perfect for you.

  • this car has a chain timing belt, unlike toyotas if you change your oil regularly and keep up with maintanence this car will take a beating and keep on chigging well over even 200000 miles. It will never leave you hanging. I had a 4 door automatic

On a different note, if you want to see this vehicle do 0-100 (with a 0-60 of 8 seconds!) check out my profile.

  • you should test drive it

  • anyone checked the 2001 audi TT vid..campare German cars..these cars r just dumb ass with low quality and tech.no offence..

  • do the colbalt next to it

  • no wonder GM needed a bailout.

  • 5:13 name of song? Please?

  • 4:40 OOO the who!! Sweet!

  • Awesome tunage!

  • There's a reason why even though this is a 2004 car, you don't ever see one on the road anymore.

    They are pretty damn bad.

This is also why they are very commonly used in rental car agencies. Because nobody would buy them!

  • I'm not really that keen with the orange odometer, but the chimes are bearable.

  • I think this is a nice looking car. Much nicer looking than the Cobalt that replaced it.

  • @ElectroGhandi thank u somebody sees that to....i been in both and the cobalt is smaller and the dash is CHEAP PLASTIC!!!

  • Yeah these were a cheaply made car, but they'll ALWAYS start and get you where you need to go... And in a decent speed with great mpgs as well haha

  • I had driving lessons on a Chevy Cavalier. That's about all it's good for. Any 2001 BMW 7 series (E38s) for sale?

  • i love how the cavaliers fire up. they revs up and there ready lolol

  • In Depth Tour a 1999 Toyota Camry CE please

  • had one of these as a rental once boy did it suck always rattled i call em crapaliers :P

  • @naterade21 I agree, I had a few as rentals myself and they were are horrible. The steering wheel on this one is just hideous.

I had to take one back within 10 minutes of renting it because it was just so bad. The Jeep Liberty I got in exchange for it was 1,000 times better.

  • Unfortunetly I own one of these :(

  • @ludicer hehe

  • whats the "P" position on the light comodo??

  • Leather makes everything better.

  • thats one nice white BMW beside it

  • POS and cheaply made

  • i hear the song in the background.

  • In the past, I've owned a few Chevy makes, and among them all my favorite was the Aveo. Not very manly, but a good sturdy car. I went cross country with it 3 times!

I don't know about this car, though, it looks decent from reviews I've seen though. I may just buy one.

  • @HamsterPants522 its basically the father of the cobalt or g3 i personally like the cavalier better

  • UGH! I had one of these as a loaner for the past week, its a crude horrid little thing, but I have to say the thing is fast. It'll spin the tires like theres no tomorrow!

  • This car is basically a bigger Geo Metro, haha!

  • the song at 5:08 reminds me of Herbert singing in the Family Guy Blue Harvest movie.

  • Comment removed

  • around how much was this car selling for?

  • Too bad you are all the way in NC, love your car selection.

  • my CAR HAS the same motor as it :) never let me down

  • How many small cars did GM make before the Cobalt? Not one single model like most automakers. They made:

Chevy Cavalier/Pontiac Sunfire - outdated pieces of crap

Chevy Prizm - a rebadged Toyota Corolla

Saturns - they were good cars, competitive to Honda, Toyota, and Nissan

Pontiac Vibe - a rebadged Toyota Matrix

Saturns were the only small cars GM made that actually had a purpose. The Ion built onto the successful original Saturn, and the Cobalt was a worthy twin without looking the same.

  • do one on a rouge:d

  • cavaliers are so dependable!, especially the early 90s model, i think the 2.2 sounds different, than the ecotec , my grandmas 2000 has regular 2.2 what is the difference

  • cavaliers are so dependable!, especially the early 90s model, i think the plain 2.2 is better than the ecotec?

  • hey kyle do you have any videos on a BMW E39 M5?

  • calivers not bad for he money

  • I've been in one. It's the worst car I've ever been in, or it's at least tied with the Geo Prism. The engine is buzzy, the interior is horrible, and it feels cheap. Now I realize that it's not meant to be a Cadillac, but I don't want a car that's so depressingly cheap as a Cavalier.

  • @MrGSNfan I rented one in 2004 base model like this one. I agree with you more I wasn't expecting a-lot but it was bad. Loud, unrefined engine, cheap looking and filling interior just not a desirable car to drive at all. IMO I do think the Cobalt is decent car that I wouldn't mind having though.

  • i think its a crapalier not a Cavalier

  • id like to have one....looks good

  • @ganee6a make sure you test drive it before in case you ever do decide to buy one. I test drove one and did not like it. But everybody has different tastes. Now that I think back it is probably a good little car for how affordable it is.

  • i had 182 thousand on mine (1996) before I totalled it..... Z24.... that car didnt miss a beat!

  • Its Very basic

  • Kyle what was the price of it?

  • nice shape......... here in canada an 04 would already have rust underneith

  • Kyle is excellent, car is complete trash

  • Have you reviewed the Audi A8 which is from 0:18 to 0:20?

  • @EduWestCoastRap Yep I did, I think it's a 2004 A8L

  • 3:12 It's an Opel!

  • @danessz93 what...?

  • Sure is a far cry from the Cruze (we hope).

  • @Arundodonax the cruze is the successor to the cobalt...

  • ugly exterior, ugly interior. that's all. IMHO of course ;)

  • My Uncle had a 96 Cavalier and drove it 340,000kms before the transmission crapped out. Oh well he did get his money's worth.

  • you should review the (2002?) Pontiac GTO that you showed at 0:18

  • a dogturd with wheels, lol
