asa kid i never really came across anything that hard in my life then this album woke me up against the wall i was always bumping into..knowledge isnt power but an awakening
A real M.C , using hip hop for it's true purpose. Peace to the God Jeru Da Damaja , for speaking for those without voices. Racism still exist in America , and so called Afro-Americans have it the worst. They could never feel our pain. They hate when we talk like this. I'm Black and Proud.
Oh! The real Hip Hop scene knew all about it.This was underground Main Stream. "Come Clean" was the first single off of this album. You had to listen to independent college radio hip hop stations back then to get raw hip hop. When we heard "Come Clean" all things stopped! We didn't know what was going on! The number one question that everybody in the car had was "Who is this dude!?" Preemo produced the entire album.
Gotta agree that a lot of the 90s hip hop have sick, raw ass beats. There are some good newer MCs but I still love that 90s hip hop man.. I wish I got into hip hop earlier. I didn't get into the scheme until 2000 when my ex introduced me to dilated peoples platform and from there I was hooked. I used to listen to underground 80s UK punk and I still like some but my love is hip hop and has been since 2000.. I don't give a fuck cuz i love hip hop !!

One of the best tracks ever recorded in the history of revolutionary music. Up there with “Black Steele in the Hour of Chaos.”
Note Richard Pryor kickin it in the break.
P.S. Check out the track “In Action or Inaction” that Jeru and I did for my latest album “THIRD WORLD WARriors.” Pure fire.
