No, it wasnt possible to position the screen anywhere else, because the goal was to keep the NES PCB intact in order to keep the proper feel.

Ok, where do you solder the wire for the power button, I can NOT figure this out, I see all the solder points for the USB drive and headphone jack and stuff, but idk what to do for ANY of the buttons! Please help.

Wow that's pretty sick. I just finished mine a few hours ago, but now I wish I would have seen this one before I started mine. For some reason it didn't show up when I've searched on YouTube. The hardest thing is knowing what MP3 player will fit and still have decent soldering points. Do you have any pictures of the insides of this that you could send me?
