so i am using the pineapple thing and it tells me that i have no bundles so i try to download one and strange scripts appear on my window...

...it unlocks it so you can use the Iphone on other carriers like t-mobile also lets you use apps that are not from the app store.

He's half right, half wrong. It does not unlock it. There is no unlock for the iPhone 3G yet. The iPhone Dev-Team is getting close to doing it but not yet. It does, like G7130 said, let you have third party apps that aren't in the appstore. Like a video camera, massager (vibrator if you want to get naughty:P) and lots more.

ok, i tried quickpwn, now i cant even get it jailbroken. now i get the message, " iphone can't be restored. error 10013. i went to itunes restored it to factory settings and it works. But, when i tried to jailbrake it, i keep getting that message. what can i do about this????

i did everything like the video for my iphone 3g, and after jailbreaking it now i cant make or recieve calls.I have access to cydia & installer but no fone access.i reset it in itunes to factory settings, and now i have fone access. i jailbroke it againg, but the same problem keeps happening. what did i do wrong? can this be fixed????

Well thanks for the video... good intention but your recording capabilities are making me seasick... try to hold the camera still and make better zoom... otherwise could use simply screen flow program to record a screen and add some recording of an iphone actions with your camera... :)

I know this is the perfect place to post this. I have followed all of the help tutorials for the Jail break etc. I have the Installer and Cydia icon on the phone. This is a little embarrasing saying this but now what? Is this now broken?

Lastly, I the phone is currently anchored with Telsra (Australia) I have gone so far as to pay a site 30 bucks to unlock. However, the PDF that has come back has guided me only so far. Can anyone help?!

well, if you go to the installer.......you can go to install.......and a list of categories will pop up....try games....then find a game you might like and push install!

your iphone is jail broke u can download apps that dont need steve jobs seal of approval. iphone firmware 2.0 + cant be unlocked the 2.0 base-band was totally revamped and the dev team haven't cracked it yet they dont even know if they will be able to :(

All you have to do, is plug in your iPhone, or iPod Touch into your computer, then hold the power and home button for 10 seconds then after that let go of the power button and keep holding the home button for 10 seconds and iTunes will say waiting for iPod or something like that and it will say it's in recovery mode, or in DFU mode.

u can download apps for free that are in the app store. i no a sight that has 516 app store apps :) crash bandicoot monkey ball etc . jailbreaking ur phone installs cydia and installer there like the app store but dont require apples seal of approval to be posted

make sure you're not downloading the ispw in safari as it extracts it and changes the format or whatever, download in firefox. then it should find it.

Doesn't really matter. If you restore, it will use a previous backup. If you setup as a "new iphone", it won't restore any apps or files you had on it before (this is what I had to do.) Either way, you'll still have 2.0.1, you just might have to reinstall your apps which really isn't a big deal.

I am with Rogers and I got it to work. When you build the custom firmware in Pwnage tool, you need to select Expert Mode. BEFORE YOU BUILD THE FIRMWARE, go into the "General Settings" and UNCHECK "Activate the phone". Then build the firmware, put the phone in recovery mode, and force iTunes to restore using the custom firmware you made (hold the Option key while clicking Restore in iTunes).
