Wow, never thought there was a video of this performance. This was also performed around that time when they were actually playing Barely Out of Tuesday in it's own full version. Wonder if there's a video of that.
yeah, i first saw this video almost a decade ago. my vhs copy is pretty poor and i waited for someone else to do the translation and it finally happened. to be honest, when i watch their more recent performances (>1996), i think adam is a different person, like he has to act the emotion, or he just got too wrapped up in being a rock star. i just think their earlier stuff was heart-felt genuine emotion. we all change, but it was this adam that drew (and still draws) me CC.
Yeah there was definitely something magical about this period. The Viper Room recording from 1995, the december recordings of 1996 and the 1997 Storytellers, just to name a few legend shows. And I agree that there were just some things that felt more real back then.
lol....did the guy record this while he was hangin' from the rafters?

Everyone should check out Counting Crows - Round Here Pinkpop 1997 - it's also a Barely Out of Tuesday rendition, I like it more than this one. :D

I love how at 8:28 he looks at the guy with the camera.

Am I the only one who doesn't like the way he sang this? He's either really drunk or is pretending to be drunk.
I love counting crows though!

I think he acts like the girl of the song :)

he tore his knee up jumping off a speaker a few songs prior. he just gutted it out, possibly with a bit of liquor and pain killers.
