  • I love these great action movies that China has been making! I just saw a great Kung Fu movie called “Films of Fury” and it really blew me away with its great fight scenes and movie clips. It just came out on demand and is definitely worth checking out! bitly .com/uBGPir

  • I am no expert when it comes to Asian cinema, but I have seen a few, particularly historical epics, but this film, by far is the greatest of them yet! I count it among my favorite films of any genre. It's simply excellent, and not primarily due to the cinematography and historicity; the acting of Kaneshiro, Lau, and Li is SUPERB and the story very well conceived! Highly recommended!

  • This film looks epic. I wish Jet Li were in more movies. Or maybe I'm not not savvy to their existence? I know he was in the documentary "Films of Fury." bitly .com/uBGPir

  • jet li best warlord

  • I don't wont no trobble: the movie

  • i watch this movie on fim4 , it was excellent

talksabout power , political corruption between brothers into a lost cause

In the end only the poeple suffer, thi film is not for the ligh thearted

  • WTF is Jet Li in all of these Chinese warrior movies

  • @dinospino

He wasn't in Red Cliff which is a great Chinese film.

  • @chandraroca lol u wish it not there

  • ITS 2007 MOVIE

  • u people do know that this isn't about the Three Kingdoms. it's a romanticized story about the Taiping Rebellion in Qing 1860's

  • seen it just now on my dvd

    not that great a movie

    expected more

7/10 bc of the fact the culture rockz! and the history is awesome.

  • good one

  • I really enjoyed this movie, mind you pretty much anything with Jet Li in it is awesome

  • you're another one making it 2008 but it was actualy deveplopd in 2007 ...

  • I believe this is set during the Taiping Rebellion (1850-1864)- though little known in the west this was one of the deadliest conflicts in history- some 25 million were killed- a similiar figure to WW1.

  • Yes, you are right. The movie plays during the Taiping Rebellion. Indeed it was a huge war. Such a shame the west doesnt know anything about it. The movie opens with an explaination about the war, that how I know.

  • basman777- Thankyou. I think psychology comes into this. WW1 had a profound impact on Europeans because so many died- sometimes the entire male population of certain villages. Although the British and French were involved in Taiping, the vast majority of casualties were Chinese- in an age when newspapers were the sole media platform, it didn't really touch sentiments in Europe. Had it been today, it would be the defining story of our age, because mass-media would inform the world.

  • yeah, i gotta agree with that. If it would have been at the present time, everyone would know. probably the Chinese dont know mutch about WW1, because that didnt reach them that mutch.

  • basman777- True. Actually I think around the time Europe, North Africa and the Middle East were plunged into WW1, China was in its post-revolution 'Warlord Era'. Communication then in rural China would have been primitive so only events directly effecting the people would be in their conscience.

  • Indeed! China is a big country with a lot of seperated regions. Especially in that time it was hard to spread news through the whole country. They would only bother for news that really effect them.

  • One of the greatest chinese films. It based on a true story.

  • I've seen it

    Nice movie..

  • u brought the dvd or youve seen it in a website? if u did see it on a website can i have the link plz? ill be appreciatted

  • no sound?

  • he is working on a movie with Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundren, Forest Whitaker, Randy Couture called the Expendables.

  • He's gone Hiatus in 2009, but in development in the next movie The Expendables.

  • lol...asian cinema is much better than hollywood!

  • you are mistaken, Greatly.

  • naaah...im not! hollywood films r all the damn same now

  • NOW, yes, I agree, but until recently, no.

  • I'm asian but do you think asian films are not the same? It's all Kung Fu/Martial arts, and if not, then it is a love drama.

  • this one is about relationship between brothers,

    and dark side of politics.

    the trailer hasn't actually show

    the major part.

it's a great movie but this trailer

    wasn't that good

  • another brilliant asian movie, makes the american big budget films look pathetic in comparison, and these guys have a 10th of their budgets

  • yeah! :)

  • in comaparison to which movie? it depends...What about in comparison to Lord Of the Rings.

  • @ANDREWHALL28 - try telling that to all the Gladiator fans!

  • @ANDREWHALL28 I agree about the quality of the film versus Hollywood crap, like you've mentioned, but you should be aware that the budget on this film was 40 million in American dollars. It wasn't exactly a low budget film.

  • @ANDREWHALL28 in china things are lot cheaper and they dont have to pay so much to people for work...

  • @ANDREWHALL28 uhh well people get paid alot less their, dumbass!!

  • looks garbage

  • The trailer isn't good, but the movie is.

  • weak...

  • Yep it would be cool :)

  • waaah! i like it! bloody!
