  • Btw, you are so funny hahhaha

  • *always?

  • Matte=anti glare Anaya?

  • The iPhone and iPad greasy finger test was both the same of course there was more of the screen clear on the iPad as its a lot bigger screen.

  • Does this hinder note taking or drawing on the ipad in any manner?

  • @sagarelyas No, if anything it improves it, because the screen is less 'sticky'. I find that glass grips my fingers when trying to drag them across the screen, this lets them glide across.

  • You're hilarious! You need to make more reviews!

  • You've just sold me a £17 screen protector - Top salesman

I've always been an expert with applying these but i hadn't thought of using the bathroom! Excellent idea

  • @aproctor14 Search amazon for easyscreen by media devil

  • Lol English voices sound so posh.

  • Good job on this video. Thank you.

  • I HATE MATTE SCREEN PROTECTORS!!! THEY MAKE THE SCREEN DARKER AND VERY GRAINY!!!

  • can you take the matt screen protector off?

  • @1928anfield Yes - this one was a replacement for one I damaged. They just peel off. You can't reuse them again though.

  • What case do you use?

  • @MonsieurHiks In the video I was using the Scosche foldIO P1 - Since then I changed to a JOBY GorillaMobile Ori because I find it better to use on the train on my knee because you can tilt the screen to any angle and it stays there - it's also got a grippy back that stops it sliding off my rucksack.

  • Hi there,

I am the founder of MediaDevil. This is a fantastically produced video, thank you very much indeed! Your voice is incredibly easy to follow.

In case it's of interest to your viewers, tomorrow we're launching a brand new type of screen protector for the iPad 2 called Easyscreen, which can be applied in seconds without bubbles, and can also be used to customise the colour of the iPad 2 bezel.

  • @hienoinmies So, do this after you take a shower.

  • Well thought out video, I also used shower trick. Will try your "work platform" next time, tape on pen is good idea. Matte films rainbows some, individual preference though. Side by side comparison at end is a good idea.

  • Thanks for this i really needed to see how it effected glare and its brilliant! lol looking back at my Stupid Face staring back at me.

  • the anti-glare/Matte takes away your retina display thats why just stick with clear and also you have ur brightness down at the minimum thats why you can see your face :/

  • r the wipe and clear condoms come in sizes?

  • The only reason I dislike matte screen protectors is rainbows. The colours look really bad and you miss the sharpness of screen. Also the matte layer wears of with normal use so you end up with a very nasty look to the screen.

  • There is one thing about the matte I don't care for - the introduced distortion of light. At least this was the case with the one I tried. But maybe the amount of graininess varies among brands.

  • Brilliant Review!

  • Nice review! I just ordered the same protector. I've basically stopped using my iPad on the train due to reflections :)

  • I recently applied a matte screen to my phone (Motorola Milestone aka Droid in the U.S.). I did cock up the first try, getting so much crap under it. I had enough trouble with this small screen, doing a tablet-sized screen looks terrifying.

Oh, and I should have thought of the shower trick to get rid of dust. I always do it when hanging negatives to dry. But I'm already in the bathroom then anyway.

  • i think all this new "fashion" about non-matte screens is a bit overrated. I still prefer good'ol lcd screens with matte screen, first because a finger doesn't smudge it like you had your hands submerged in pork grease, and second because as techmoan said you still can see something instead of your face.

Long life to matte! i would like to have even a matte painted car ahaha

  • i thought you picked up condoms i was like wtf! LOL

  • is it great for laptops like mac book pro and do they make screen protectors for it? or do u need to buy one that comes with it? :)

  • James May has an iPad?

  • I like that accent>>!!!

  • Informative and interesting how-to. Thanks

  • Thanks for another great review. You would think the device would come with these.

  • I'm hesitant to get a matt protector as it 'disperses' the pixels on the screen ever so slightly - if you look right up close it won't be as sharp as the clear ones (the nature of how the protector works). Still, I'm planning to use it a lot on the train for reading so might go with this after all. Good review by the way, and thanks for the tips on applying.

  • Another great video. One of my favorite subscriptions this.

  • how much re they

  • @mattybloom Currently £15 from Amazon (for a pack of 2).

  • This is a magnificent product.

  • Were you watching Leo Laporte at the end there?

  • @RxUrien Yep...iPad Today.

  • Applying screen protectors isnt really my thing I guess, I always order 3 of them for my phone, first 2 get messed up in the process, 3rd one is ok

  • You could also get a mirrored screen protector. Sure, the glare is terrible, but it's one hell of a chick magnet.

  • Congrats for the Partner status. :D

  • Why doesn't the manufacturer fit this as standard? They do know it is a real problem.

  • I think it's about time I got a protector for my Desire HD before I do some damage, I appreciate the reminder and it was a great review as always.

  • thanks

  • Please review the Western Digital WD TV Live Hub i want to buy one but i want to know what you think first.

  • nice tips i have yet to get one on without seeing at least a few bubbles
