Now this is music there is no lie or deception in it for it sings the same words written in his word, for his word is truth for he spoke it and he can not lie.
Came across this group today---very nice version of Scripture. Putting Scripture to song is just wonderful : ) I've never heard of this group before. Are they of the family of Korah, or is that just their name?
@willempievooijs After perusing their music, I noticed that most of their songs do not follow the Scriptures as they are written. Their songs either leave out verses, or rearrange words. It's a little disappointing. It's not bad music, but I prefer accuracy with GOD's WORD---in handling the WORD of Truth.
@lambofGD. The group is named after Sons of Korah, same as the family of Korah in the bible that wrote many of the psalms they sing. look up their story- it's incredible. They were definitely put together by no one other than the Lord! As for the lyrics being "in order", words were inverted and switched around just to translate the Greek and Hebrew original texts into English! we're blessed to have the Holy Spirit's guidance in interpretation- I wouldn't discount Him in their music, either.
@baj037 I'm calling it what it is: poetic license with the WORD of GOD--for profit and fun. It's your basic filthy lucre. I'm not against them singing or praising GOD, but I have a preference--and you seem to be coming against it, which is dumb. It is my preference for accuracy in HIS WORD. If you want to go down this line of logic, it ends with this: adulterating the WORD of GOD for profit, or it is HIS WORD as it is written. We all have a choice to make regarding the Truth.
@lambofGD Im curious. If you believe in the unadulterated and unchanged word of god then how do you account for the many different translations? (NIV,KJ NKJ etc) and if you do believe that one is correct above the other then which one? If you are to answer that they had to be brought into line with the current language at the time of publishing then you are contradicting yourself.
@lambofGD To quote yourself "poetic license with the word of god for fun and profit" and ""filthy lucre". These are strong words for someone who has never met these men. I have seen first hand and know of their passion to serve. I also know that at the end of the day there is little profit in it for them. The do it because it is what they have been instructed to do by God, which is all that a man can do that is of value.
i went to see them live, absolutely incredible! and i got to meet matt jacoby him being a friend of a friend of my dads. i have connections...
