  • Hare Krsna thanks for uploading very informatics and easy to understand :)

  • Sriman Madhvacharya is the only one (after Sri Krishna) ever in Sanatana Dharma to reveal his true form:- "In Treta Yuga, I was born as Hanuman and served Sri Rama, in Dvapara yuga as Bhima and served Sri Krishna, and now as Madhva to serve Sri Veda Vyasa!". Shankara never claimed he is Shiva, only his devotees proclaimed so! Anyway, your devotional and dharmic service are to be commended, and thanks for it.

    Hare Krishna!

  • Hymns like Shri Rudram, Chamakam from Yajur Veda say "Shiva is the Brahman". Even great Vaishnava leaders like Swami Narayan said "Vedas proclaim both Shiva and Vishnu are Brahman". This is the concept of Harihara! It is important to know everything before speaking anything. And one more thing, how do you know that Shiva was "ordered" to go down and preach Advaita? And exactly what is the evidence that Shankara was an incarnation of Shiva??

  • Secondly Shankara said Bhaje Govindam, and yes, it is perhaps his greatest hymns! But he never said "worshipping any other God is a sin or heresy". All our Puranas say that Shiva, Vishnu and Shakti are qually Supreme. Nowhere it says Shiva is a demigod. Only you people are saying so. I myself was a Vaishnava, I thought it meant as to someone who worships Vishnu as supreme. But you define Vaishnava as "someone who hates other Gods", particularly Shiva! It is not good at all!!

  • Yes, Acharya Shankara advised Bhaja Govindam mooda madhe, but he never deviated from Advaita. Study the entire hymn, a line would appear as:- "Free yourself from the illusion of the world of maya and attain the timeless Truth". What is this other than Advaita? All other acharyas, Ramanuja, Madhva, Chaitanya, Nimbarka, Vallabha said "Jagat satyam" (the world is true), only Shankara said "Jagat mithyai" (the world is illusion). So Shankara never deviated or gave up Advaita!

  • Thank you I have been trying to understand all that I can about krishna this helps my tiny brain is slowly getting there.

  • Thank you for your comment. It helps me know when I am doing right! All by Krishna and Guru's grace.

  • Shankara wrote that sloka for his mother who was dying but he was not a Hare Krishna...if you read and study his commentaries and writings one can see that he was a staunch Advaitist and even did not want to be refered to as a dvaitist...I just think it is important to be accurate as I know many devotees who make that claim to people new to chanting about Shankara without really supporting it.

  • We believe the parts in the Scriptures that say that Lord Shiva, (Shankar) was ordered to teach Mayavad philosophy, (as Shankaracharya) even though it was not his hearts wish, he did it for the pleasure of Vishnu to confuse many. It was a strategic move in the historical development of our philosophy's appearance.

  • correction (in our philosophy's RE-appearance)

  • ॐ that was a wonderful way to start my day ॐ

    Hare krsna!

  • Hope you had a successful day! Hare Krishna! ॐ

  • first of all, u seem to have forgotten all about Ramanujacharya and the Vishishta-advaitic philosophy of Sri Vaishnavism. secondly, being a smartha, i naturally cannot agree with ur views on Shankara Bhagavatpada and Advaita, but we shall keep that debate for another time, another place...... :)

    Namaste

  • I offer my humble pranams and respect unto the feet of Ramanujacharya who is a POWERFUL Vaishnava saint. In this video, though, I am simply coming to the point of acintya bhed abheda tattva and it preluding history. These are not my views but the views of our Brahma Madhva Gaudiya sampradaya. The Shri sampradaya is another of the four sampradaya's and is accepted as a bonafide Brahma Vaishnava sampradaya. We offer our respects. Namaste!

  • great vid sister- simple straight forward and easy to understand..

i see you getting a lot of flak for it tho.. we'll see i guess! :)

  • Yes, my idea was to keep it as simple and childlike as possible. Anyhow, I expect something with a philosophical subject to be the object of discussion and debate.. And if anyone from our own Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Sampradaya has any corrections for me, I am open to that!
