Great video! I've been seriously thinking about buying a Hawk 2. I don't have a place or the time to build one, but would love to buy one ready to fly. How easy are they to handle compared to a c152 or 172? I have mostly flown cessnas, and I used to own an old 1962 piper colt. The colt was a handful in a crosswind and glided like a rock. How does this do in a good crosswind on takeoffs/landings?
@nearadyn Thanks! My son did the video from the back seat. Two of us built the hawk from the kit in 6 months, but we were at it 4 nights a week plus one day on the weekend. Plans are decent and the factory is very helpful. The plane is very docile, easy to handle. I have flown 152's and the hawk is just an simpler easier plane to fly. I have also flown in Flightstars and in a skyranger. Shoot me an email if you want to talk about it more whites_12025@yahoo.com.
