I've interviewed them both and they have lots of fond memories of this movie.

Kane never would've been Jason if he hadn't worked with John on Prison for Charles Band before this movie.

And now I'm engaged to an effects man John's worked with many times, including on Prison X3 life Is GOOD

i used to love when USA UP ALL NIGHT with Rhonda Sheer would play part 7 and 8 back to back on saturday nights when i was like 12 years old or when they would play it on sunday afternoons during october...even tho it was on tv and even more cut up then it already is,its just really good memories of growing up during this great period in time...and would scare the shit outta me..thank god my parents humped back in 82...im one of the lucky ones that got to grow up in the last great decades 80s,90s

Wow, did THIS bring back memories! I worked all 8 weeks on FT13.7 (LA and the OTHER LA - Lower Alabama). We could have shortened the schedule by 2 or three weeks if we hadn't shot all the deleted scenes. It was still a fun shoot, and I'm glad I worked on "Birthday Bash" (the working title), especially since I got to meet and work on a number of other films with Paul Elliot, the superb director of photography. Thanks to Daniel Farrands and everyone who made this great "making of" documentary!

Ya know, I always considered part 7 here to be the worst of the FT13th films ( except for the Jason make up which was great in that one ) and have always blamed director John Carl Beucheler for it, .. . until having seen THIS. This realy clears things up and putes it into perspective.

I've always wondered what happened to the character Melissa - since F13 Pt 7, she obviously fell off the face of the Earth. No more acting credits, nothing. I wonder if people treated her as if she WAS Melissa in real life after seeing the movie? You know how stupid Americans are - movies are real and the character they're playing is their real personality. She WAS the bitchiest F13 character but she's probably not really like that! LOL

here's a fun fact, originally, Freddy was originally the match to fight Jason in Pt. 7, but New line and Paramount couldn't come to an agreement, it's sad we didn't get that until 2003

Barbara Sachs was the producer that ruined Part 7 for John Carl Buechler, if she wasn't involved of course we would've gotten a even better film. As for John's idea of Jason vs. Tina in a mental hospital would've worked cause you would've had the doctors thinking she's nuts and then all hell's breaking loose with Jason coming for her and he's slaughtering staff and patients just to get Tina. Would be a rehash of Halloween 2? No cause H2 wasn't set in a asylum I think it could've worked.
