While Overseer had the most intricate cinematic sequences, I felt it was the least enjoyable to play.

I must regrettably agree with you. It didn't seem to contain half the exploration/puzzle solving of its two younger siblings. It was still better than most adventure games of the time, but it's my least favorite of the series as well.
