Haha, I've seen Bono in everything from a documentary about the birth of punk rock all the way to a documentary about the author Charles Bukowski! Maybe he maintains his celebrity through appearing in documentaries...
I like Bono, but it is uncanny how often he turns up in documentaries. What I liked best about I'm Your Man were the interview parts with Leonard. I thought the performances were hit or miss. I felt a sense of the performers being a bit intimidated, out of their element. I think Rufus was even reading the lines as he sang Everybody Knows, like he wanted to make sure he didn't forget them? Antony was the standout inspired exception.
@gittle17 I didn't miss the point! I'm amazed at all the newbees that love this guy. Cohen has been speaking my heart since 1965. I've been trying to find out how I can get the entire film since I first saw it. Tell me and I'll put you in my will!
@cogitofikation It's wonderful how he keeps being relevant. Rediscovery by newbies is better than no discovery at all. I've loved his work since forever, and am pleased that he keeps circling back. "Everybody Knows" is as timely today as it was when he wrote it. But that's just one song....
I want to do this because I'm scared. PLEASE DON'T READ THIS you will die in seven days if you don't post this comment on 10 videos in the next hour. if you do, tomorrow will be the best day of your life
don't you agree lian is a beautiful film maker/? wheres she from? scandanavian? brits? i wish i can one day make woman like her my good friends, so far, i haven't got one blonde friend yet.
My god, all the singers have destroyed his songs- it's like a school talent contest.
And nobody wins.

Everyone missed the whole point...this concert was about Leonard Cohen, and ALL the performers were special!
It's the music...the words...NOT the petty comments whether you like or dislike Bono!!!
The film was a delight to all Cohen fans....

@johnmair Agree on the "too much Bono" part

@johnmair ... Cohen's persona and work is too complex to be captured in a "tribute film"
