@SolarTiger To be fair, Serling was basically pretending that this was going to be a fun entertainment show so that the sponsors wouldn't give him as much scrutiny as they did on the straight drama shows. Wallace got conned like everyone else.
Twilight Zone was sheer genius. I agree it was before its time. My dad introduced this to me. I have so many favorites, I can't think of all of them off top but a few are; "Nightmare At Twenty-Thousand Feet", "People Are Alike All Over", "Mirror Image","Thursday Is The Day We Left" Black Leather Jackets" etc... these are only a few of the best ones. What I like the most about Twilight Zone is each episode always had a lesson to it and you always learned something from it.
Mike Wallace is such a pretentious dick and bears such a superior, judgmental tone in almost all his interviews... One can almost sense his own, hidden insecurities. Maybe he understood that those who can't create great art end up having to ask the questions of those who can. Maybe that really pissed him off.
the Twilight Zone was the and or amongs the best few television shows ever, its not a tv show,it is Film.good stuff, that makes you think and question, and shows true moral value.. Rod is a great man .
WOW! Such great integrity and belief in ones self. He pressed the envelope and stood up against sponsers and the crazy beliefs and values of his time. He was WAY ahead of his time. One of my favorite writers...
Twilight Zone = potboilers???...Mike...Mike..Mike...of course they weren't aired yet...
...and Mike insinuating that Mr Serling just in it for the money,,,I think Rod's answer is right on the money...quality baby!!!

@RegicidalManiac - Chris Wallace showed potential until he landed his current gig at Faux News.
