The great thing about a 911 is that you can drop virtually any other air-cooled 911 engine in there, providing you have the skills to modify the engine and gearbox mountings. The later cars that use the G50 gearbox need he most work. I did hear of somebody fitting a V8 in a 911 once. Not sure what that did to the weight distribution tho'. Rgds Peter.
the 912 is the same car just a smaller engine. you can change the engine to a 911 and add a dollar value of 3x the 912, then you can sell your 912 engine on the 356 registry.org for about $3K

Love those porsche specially 911. Peter my concern is that what kind of newer engine could you swap with it? How about some engine of different make?
