David Irving apparantly interviewed Leopold Gutterer, Goebbels' state secretary in 1993, and Guttner claimed that Herschel Grynszpan was pointed out to him at his trial in the 50's, viewing the proceedings from the back of the courtroom. I find this young mans tale particularly interesting, because of the fact he disappeared after early 1944. Do you think any more documents could in the future be found regarding his fate Alan? They fled to the USSR whilst the son they sent to safety was killed. The curious thing about him is that I do not believe he would just be killed as he was 'protected' being kept back for a show trial. I suspect that he may have been killed at the very end of the war. Maybe some documents will come forward although I doubt it!

@trespasser09 Wirth was killed in April 1944 and Franz died in June 1998. My friend Michael Tregenza spoke to people who knew both and corresponded with Franz. I hope he will comment on this when his book comes out!

Wagner worked on a construction site in austria after WW2, when Stangl fled across the italian border, he encountered Wagner by chance working- pulling down a house by the side of the road. Wagner shouted "Captain!" and begged to come with Stangl there and then.
It appears both went seperate ways once in italy...Wagner obtained a visa for the middle east, its unkown if they were in syria together, but did meet up in around 1951 when both emigrated to brazil.
After Franz Stangl was extradited to Germany. Gustav Wagner harrassed Stangl's wife...he wanted to move in with her, saying "Stangl's had it" but she threw him out, but not before giving him money to bury his own dead wife. She later saw Wagner begging in a remote brazilian town, in around 1968 wearing torn clothes.
I read what Gitta Sereny said about Wagner which was written after Stangl's death but before Wagner was captured. However I knew nothing of Wagner begging and taking money from Mrs Stangl.

Wagner died in 1978. Stangl was arrested in 1969 in Brazil, deported, got a life sentence and then died just before his appeal came up. Wagner tried to pick up Stangl's wife but she was not having any of it!

Well, the death photos of Gustav Franz Wagner from Tom Blatt's own website show Wagner covered in blood from being stabbed in the chest. But if you want to believe that's a suicide, go right ahead.
I will address this point. The photographs do not look like suicide granted. Schlomo Szmajzer gave people to believe he was responsible for killing Wagner by not answering the question directly but Brazilian police ruled him out. However Wagner was depressed and lonely in the 1970s, a brief moment of fame but when it was clear that he would get little protection from the authorities he behaved as the coward he undoubtedly was and took his own life.
It is good that you have the information that Wagner was murdered in Brazil as for everyone else it was suicide. Frenzel spent many years in prison although he died in an old people's home in northern Germany around six years ago. Obivously you have the information that Toivi Blatt is lying - no doubt with far greater knowledge on Sobibor than he has - please present it.

Hershel Grynszpan did not survive the war. Eichmann was questioned on him during his trial. Grynszpan was alive at the beginning of 1944.
The legal arguments around him are quite curious particularly given the illegality of the mass murders of millions of other people by the Nazis.

There are very few survivors of Sobibor still alive and all of the perpetrators are now dead. I will speak to Tom about your desire to speak to him and I will give you my telephone number or skype address for you to call when he is at my place (expected next month).

Tom Blatt was not a witness for the prosecution as far as I am aware. If David Irving went to Treblinka and said that as far as he is concerned it was a death camp, would you believe it?

For Octo333's scenario: Suppose there was a guard who worked in Auschwitz in a high-up position. And 20 years after the war, he goes to a newspaper and says "this is a big lie." The paper would have a headline in the next couple days: "Auschwitz officer captured" and his message would never get out. Did you ever hear what Richard Baer had to say about being the commandante of Auschwitz? I didn't think so.

"Nazi Mass Murder", Yale Uni. Press, 1993, on page 142, a statement of Baer from Dec. 22, 1960, is quoted, with the full source: "I commanded only Camp I at Auschwitz. <b>I had nothing to do with the camps where the <i>gassings</i> took place.</b> I had no influence over them. It was in Camp II, at Birkenau, that the gassings took place. That camp was not under my authority".
BTW, Baer's pre-trial interrogations are publicly available.

As deniers say, "show solid proof!" Not just that Germans were tortured, but they all were forced to read a script that would condemn them. And for some reason they wouldn't tell the truth after years in prison or the walking to the gallows. Eye witnesses? Documentation? How did this happen in all the trials through 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's? Was all that survivor testimony coerced as well, or did the conspiracy say, "Tell this story and you'll get reperations when your 85!"

Of course it is a forgery - just like everything else in the Shoah - no-one was ever transported to any camps, there were never any ghettos, no starvation, no disease, no gas chambers no nothing. All fake. And what better source than Germar Rudolf????

Denierbud, you're basing your argument on speculation. Wagner probably shot the boy with a pistol, which is a <b>short range</b> weapon, ineffective at longer distances. And maybe the shots did not hit the boy's brain or heart, maybe the shots hit him in other places. There are a number of possibilities which must be excluded before concluding that Blatt's account is absurd.

Well, the death photos of Gustav Franz Wagner from Tom Blatt's own website show Wagner covered in blood from being stabbed in the chest. But if you want to believe that's a suicide, go right ahead.

I will address this point. The photographs do not look like suicide granted. Schlomo Szmajzer gave people to believe he was responsible for killing Wagner by not answering the question directly but Brazilian police ruled him out. However Wagner was depressed and lonely in the 1970s, a brief moment of fame but when it was clear that he would get little protection from the authorities he behaved as the coward he undoubtedly was and took his own life.

It is good that you have the information that Wagner was murdered in Brazil as for everyone else it was suicide. Frenzel spent many years in prison although he died in an old people's home in northern Germany around six years ago. Obivously you have the information that Toivi Blatt is lying - no doubt with far greater knowledge on Sobibor than he has - please present it.
