You know what pissed me off SO BAD. This COD player said to me "Zelda is old and that makes it stupid" WTF, I said "Old games started gaming you idiot"
If he wants a real game, then he should go in the army and get shot in the face. Zelda made some of the best games of all time, some people have said its for girls just because it has a princess. They said COD has been around forever, you mean 10 years? Zelda: 25 years.
Well, you gotta go with the time. Back in the day, online was not present in console gaming (Dreamcast aside), hence reviewers didn't take it into consideration (on the PC, however, they did, and it's been a major feature of PC games since Half-Life). Same goes for HD graphics and voice acting. And now when Nintendo releases new game and it's got neither of the features above, of course people will bash it. And rightfully so: Zelda is not "oldschool", it's outdated. Deal with it.

@DiveBombRebel I'd say the standards for video games are actually lowering, but that's just me. A "good" game by today's standards: 1. Has to be realistic FPS 2. Has to have handholding even though all levels are linear 3. Have as few original ideas as possible 4. Explosions 5. Online team deathmatch A good game by a real gamer's standards: 1. Genre doesn't matter, as long as there's some originality or innovation 2. Fresh and fun gameplay 3. Experimentation and freedom 4. Good story

Online play makes sense for the 2D mario games but thats it, Nintendo games have voice acting since the N64 days, The only differnece between the PS2 & PS3 is graphics.

Given how much of a financial disappointment Other M was (I haven't played it so I can't weigh in on it's quality as a Metroid game) I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped making Metroid games altogether, which is sad considering Metroid is my favorite Nintendo franchise.
@Minervacantdie you simply need to play other m its amazing also i loved the voice acting and the story was amazing and very interesting all of those reviewers like gamespot g4 etc have no idea what they are talking about. as for a metroid game it resemble a 3d fusion which is awesome imo it is more action focused than exploring but there are some exploring and scanning parts also the game looks fantastic art style is great tech side is even better the water effects and explosions looks amazing

I'm a Old school gamer, and better graphics are not my taste. If I ask somebody to play Contra, they'll be like WTF is this? Then they go ahead and play MW3.
When you review something or critique it, you input not only your opinion but what you think they could have done better thus adding features that you think could have made it better. Online is the BIG thing now days how often do you find yourself siting on the same couch playing with others. Online is almost a needed feature now days. Does it make a game no. But a review is an opinion. Skyrim no one complains that it has no MP because its a single player game... Its an opinion get over it..

It was kinda cool at first but it's just a lazy way to replay the game. what they should do to the achievements is something special for the gamer like a pass or real rewards for dedicated gamers LIKE SWORD QUEST FOR THE NES (look it up) & if they try to hack there way into it, they'll see it true & ban that gamer. i saw a review by ign and gave rayman origins a 9.5, they took off 5 points because IT HAD NO ONLINE, 2-d platformers shouldn't have online because you NEED pin point accuracy and no button delay, and if u have any form of lag, your fucked. DKC returns REQUIRES a lot of skill and accuracy, same with super mario bros. wii, FF6 is the best RPG ever (imo) and i played that on GBA, i didn't hate it because it was on a small screen or because it didn't have LB

@ronvnkl232 I see what you mean, although a little unclear as to how you made the point. Skyward Sword is easier to get into than Skyrim. Skyrim requires a lot more patience and can be quite more story driven. Zelda is more puzzle based, and I usually prefer this in RPGs. I could say that Skyrim succeeds in better weapons, but Zelda wins in the controls of the combat system. I would love to try Skyrim too, but I prefer Zelda more. I am patient, but not THAT patient!

Skyrim requires a lot more patience and can be quite more story driven. Zelda is more puzzle based, and I usually prefer this in RPGs. I could say that Skyrim succeeds in better weapons, but Zelda wins in the controls of the combat system. I would love to try Skyrim too, but I prefer Zelda more. I am patient, but not THAT patient!

@highlander5523 agreed I'm excited over rayman origins & this would my first rayman game owned. I've played the others but thoser were borrowed & this one took my breath away & now there complaining that it doesn't have online co-op? if they want online co-op, they should just stick to CoD & suck it
