This might work, and it might not work. The technical challenges behind this are HUGE. Everyone has a unique body geometry and machines don't tend to do unique well. They need things to be the same size and shape. One thing is certain, this is not real NOW. However, the Wii Interactive Whiteboard does work and is available NOW. Search for Nerd ir pen here on you tube and check it out, a whole new way to talk to your computer, espessially useful for teachers and trainers.

I think this is an ad, no real video (just look the eyes of the actors). they are tense -- to synchronously follow the actions on the screen.

have you ever tried a true video chat (probably yes). participants look on the screen as if they were wathing downwards (or upwards, depending on the position of the camera). Unpleasant.

Windows is the worst example, remember MacOS? the MS GUI could not compete until release Win3.

I don't mind evolution of tech, but a company as powerful as MS should be innovating and bringing out products like iphone, the surface is not really amazing, its just a touch screen PC (running Vista :S) on a coffee table and at $15k a unit not really consumer produce.

On it's launch date(which is pretty soon) it will sell for $10k as shown on the video to the resturaunts and stores as a begining market

Once everything gets settled, of course there will be changes, probably resizing and new updates, etc.
