@pastryparrot1 I used your recipe to make a sugary syrup for latte's. I melted it down on real low and sit aside to cool. while I made a latte the syrup cooled down and then I added vanilla. I figured if it was too warm it might burn off the alcohol. and my vanilla brand says it has some. and now I dont have to pay5-10$ for syrup I can just make it. your awesome pastry parrot thank you! your not a tool bag like this guy in the blue shirt!(tescorealfood) cya around!
Ps: the cake turned out great. I tried sharing a photo of it with you on facebook but there was a problem. Someone even asked me for the recipe and I gladly gave it to them :D THANK YOU!!!!
My mom used to make this and bring it to the soft ball stage and then flavor it with maple flavoring for syrup on pancakes.
I bet you could make this and stretch real maple syrup to save money. I started buying "the real stuff" to keep from giving my kids high fructose corn syrup 3 years ago but it is SO expensive.
well truthfully lemonade you could still put vodka in it it would just be hard lemonade =p

I wonder if this can be a replacement for corn syrup when it comes to baking treats?
BlackSkullz09 1 year ago
@BlackSkullz09 As I understand it, corn syrup needs to simmer for a long time in order to thicken. But it is water and sugar. Thanks for coming by!
