every F*CKING GAME at least 5-7 bad calls by the refs. The worst is when they look at each other and hesitate to make a call. When One ref whistles shouldn't he make the call? but no sometimes one ref whistles and does not make any call or it gets over ruled.

Like seriously there are 3 refs, they have video replay, why not make it like hockey where there is a video ref on fouls or not, because these 5-7 bad calls add up to points.

This happened alot during the winter of 10-11.

The rockets couldn't get ONE DAMN straight officiated games.

Fouls on rockets for no contact to tick tack, and rockets get tackled, clotheslined, and tackled.

Some were officiated worse than this one.

I'm a fan of many teams, but the Rockets seem to have been horribly ripped the most in the 10-11 season.

They should've made the playoffs.

Okay let me explain. When the ref doesn't call the push @:44 The Refs in the NBA will typically 'give back' a call or a 'no call' 1:44. So then realizing that 1:44 was so terrible they then swallow the their whistle @ 1:57. Welcome to the lame manipulating powers of the NBA referees and their freedom do what they want to change the outcome of a game. Ya I said it. So now what. Enjoy your game.

I'll tell you exactly what happened. Going into the half the Rockets had a 9 point lead and when the second half point spread came out Mavericks by 3.5 the refs took them and would make sure that the Mavericks wouldn't lose by more than 5. The technical and out of bounds calls were insurance.

I'm a Mavs fan and I'll admit that the first foul was NOT a foul and Shane Battier did get pushed in the back by Dirk Nowitzki. The refs also missed a call on Battier for hammering Jason terry along with a no call on Dirk for fouling across the arm of Aaron Brooks. But the commentators can't say that Dirk hacked him....he fouled him....he didn't hack him. This was a terrible NBA official crew...terrible.

1) battier did foul howard on howard's drive. His left hand was pushing howard's waist for the entire drive. Clean block with his right hand, but you can't hold a player's hip while they are driving. Good call by the official.

2) Terry & Brooks both got fouled yes. Officials are notorious for swallowing their whistles when there is less than a minute to play. I'm not saying that it's right, but it shouldn't be surprising to anyone who watches the nba on a regular basis.

Dirk should have been called for a push foul on Battier, Brooks should have gone to the line on that last drive, Terry should have gotten free throws on the drive before that, and Kidd's "long 2 pointers" should have been 3's...

Battier's right foot was out of bounds before he got pushed. The Brooks play was a foul but thats rarely called in the last seconds of a game. The foul on Battier against Howard was a close call. I would not have called that but they were calling a lot less than that especially in the first quarter. There's nothing egregious in this video. Maybe the Brooks play but rarely do they call that in the last seconds of a game unless its Kobe, Lebron or DWade.

1. Um, no, Battier was clearly, unquestionably pushed well before he went out of bounds. He was in mid air and would have landed in bounds if not for Nowitzki's push.

2. How is that OK to you that only superstars get calls in the last seconds? Not only is it bullshit that there are different calls for superstars than for other players, but it is also bullshit that only superstars would get that call. That was a BLATANT, obvious, and hard foul. Anyone would/should get that call.

I've been a Mavs fan since when Nash first got there; I was saying the Mavericks are very often terrible in the clutch or when games really matter most. I give the Rockets all kinds of credit, this game is closer than it should be, the Rockets hit a couple big threes to pretty much put a fork in the game, but the refs sucked at the end and Dallas didn't capatize with baskets.
