My cat had severe heat cycles like your cat.... plus she would pee on my husband's clothes. Just got her spayed.... sure hope the vet did a good job. It's quite a common problem, that people let their female cats being STAYED instead of GELDED. If a cat is stayed, she only can't get kitten anymore, but is still in heat, feels lust. When gelded/castrated, they don't feel lust or heat anymore. Every cat should get gelded! (I'm not sure if it is the same in the English language, but in German it's like I described before)

There's no need to 'leave the ovaries in place'- they aren't women. Cats are very hormonal and will be fine after spaying. My adopted cat was spayed a month after giving birth and she remained maternal well past weaning- grooming and cuddling the kittens, teaching them things. Though she did lose the ability to nurse, so we had to bottle feed the kitties for a while.

I hate it when my cat Banshee gets into heat and starts YELLING. I mean you can hear her every where in the house and it's 2 story!

Haha. All the videos I've taken of my cats end when they start grooming themselves, too. You can tell when they are done showing off for the camera.

In English all that would come out to sound something like 'Someone, anyone, please just DO ME NOW!'. :P I can't help but feel a little bit bad for them though, working at the local animal shelter we saw a lot of unspayed females, many of them which came into heat before we could make them appointments. It was very irritating to have several females in heat, and then all the males trying to squeeze out of cages to get to them!

actually they do roll around a lot too.
the roll on the floor, meow, rub their heads up against things, (along with their butts) and spray.
We've got a cat in heat too, and she's doing exactly that.

That's wha my cat was like when I was a little girl. I thought she was losing her mind. In the middle on the night she was dragging herself down the hallway, yowling. I got up and crawled down the hall beside her, lol. She was nuts.

we have two female cats. one is to young yet but she is getting close. the other is in heat once every other 2 weeks. and it is annoying as hell. they yell and scream and stick their poody in your face and try and rub it all over you. but i love them. we also have two male siamese that have been neutered.

i remember when my cat was in heat omg how annoying it was! for like a week then she somehow got out and came back pregnant. but we had to get a kitty abortion cuz we had to we already had 8 dogs plus puppies (long story if u wanna hear it message me) so we had to get rid of the kittens. she wouldda had 8 kittens

Yeah, she should get fixed o_o It's actually dangerous for a cat to continually go into heat if you have no intention of her having kittens ever. She could actually get infections or a type of cancer.
