I don't know how this happened. Harleys are famous for their agility and light handling and everyone knows Harley riders are skilled pilots that ride thousands of miles every year and not barhoppers that only ride their bikes 10 miles on Sunday, five or six times a year.

I have ridden this road a good many times and I will bikers not to think you can run this road with exhaust pipes or mufflers that drag when you lean hard. Even stock Jap cruisers can't make the tight banking turns on this road at speeds over 25 in places. Macho guys try to run with the sport bikes and pay a big price in the turns!

I have ridden this road a good many times and I will bikers not to think you can run this road with exhaust pipes or mufflers that drag when you lean hard. Even stock Jap cruisers can't make the tight banking turns on this road at speeds over 25 in places. Macho guys try to run with the sport bikes and pay a big price in the turns!
Throw in the cops there now on about every weekend during nice weather plus the large number of bikers on it adds up to crash or cash from your pocket! Go midweek

Haven't seen this vid for a long time and forgot how embarrassing it is......including all the expert comments! Just to clarify....I ride bikes and drive cars, although rarely at the same time.
The bike was not at fault at all......it's just a regular corner!
The rider was completely at fault. Really, he shouldn't have passed there because of the double solid lines but he should have made it completely safely. Safe to say that he was focussing on the ditch rather than the corner.

This is an old one, from some years back. I agree with some of the comments. Rider was to blame, doesn't matter wot bike, it was a bonehead move. Also, he straightened up instead of turning. We could debate it all day really, the real fail here was the RV not stopping. I've rode lots of bikes and have a Nightster now, I coulda took that easy on it. I live in Idaho, and there is a lot of mean roads to ride here. Peace..

I live it every day. The rider in the video crossed the double yellow, period, end of story. He was totally unjustified to make that move. He got what he asked for. He looked at the ditch. He panicked and used the rear brake to get the bike stopped. Judging by the amount of mistakes this chump made, his skill level is very low. He had no business doing what he did. I ride a cruiser (jap) and the riders were at fault for passing on a turn over double yellows regardless of the drivers speed. it happens, we get impatient and this happens. hopefully everyone is alright thats all that really matters.

People saying a sportbike would've made that, look at the geometry. His line is atrocious, more of a tangent than a curve, he didn't really lean at all, and his application of the throttle put his bike at far too high a speed for the upcoming corner. Any bike would have made this corner. Its not the Harley fault which is a perfectly good and fun bike to ride. Somebody teach the guy how to break, the rear break never stops a bike. All he did was go on the back break and target fixated on left
