This version is incredibly compelling for two reasons. 1) The main hook of the entire song is missing- the repeating Eno arpeggio. This is the only version I have ever heard, Zoo TV or otherwise, where it's not there. I often wonder if it was a mistake. 2) The "and you give, and you give, and you give..." build up is brilliant. Also the only time I have ever heard him them do that.

MacPhisto rocks. No doubt U2 were firing on all cylinders during this era.

@bennymutant This is just a character figure he played during the show. I was fortunate enough to meet him and he is very grounded and down to earth for a rock musician that has ubelievable wealth and fame. I admire U2 for not being into the clicks that most rock royalty are into.

@bennymutant Yes, believe me it was great and a moment I will never forget! I live in lakeland fand they were rehearsing for the achtung baby tour and it was some time ago but Bono and all the guys came out and signed and talked with the fans . I really remember this one moment when this little boy got to put on bono's sun glasses while he was talking with us. they didnt show up in limos but regular rented cars. But all in all just great guys who even let fans come in and watch them rehearse

Each time I watch this I am just speechless. I love a variety of rock music but this is 1 reason why U2 will always be that 1 shinning star and outshines all the other groups I truly love as well. No offense to all my other favs but if you dont get chills watching this you seriously have no soul. U2 4EVER!!!!!!
