  • @ExoGenesiss And you're making sense.

  • I'm glad she did her part to spread the truth. Lovely voice, brilliant songwriter.

  • She needs a history lesson.... then maybe she wouldn't be singing a load of IRA, rebel rousing tosh!

  • @marcN19 you need the history lesson you idiot

  • @Kilburncelt U have just scored nil pwah

  • @marcN19 so it was all a load of flowers and picnics lol

  • She needs a history lesson.... then maybe she wouldn't be singing a load of IRA, rebel rousing tosh!

  • What a load of shite.

  • Great work you have the gift of seeing thru British PROPAGANDA. No Famine, Just Murder in the 1st degree, Genocide!

  • @Adelaide1200 I can't even watch a Sinead O'Conner without reading anti-semitic bullshit.

  • LMMFAO! "Rland!"

  • Ya cant blame the politicians and powerful all the time, they dont pull the trigger, hurt our families, we do it to ourselves, the ordinary joe who thinks he/she needs to do these terrible things.-----Whats happened to our conscience our ethics, right from wrong and so on.

How the many fear the few

  • The biggest cowards tell lies that stick. The ''Potato Famine of Ireland''? No- Genocide. The ''Race Riot of Tulsa, OK, 1921''? No- A racist massacre. ''Huricane Katrina caused flooding that killed ppl''? No- they detonated the Levees- which is a common practice to direct flooding to one land mass to prevent flooding in another land mass. The British empire of the 1800's behaved like America's Republicans. Profit first- the common man be DAMNED. Then, put spin on it & call it 'Famine'.

  • @jhvenus2004 No fucking bombs in the levees dipshit. A fucking 300 foot long barge crashed through the retaining walls. I have stood on the site.

  • Are these people still angry for what the English did so many years ago. Then I guess we should still be mad at the Germans right? Or at the Italians because they suppressed the Jews way before Jesus was born.

  • @senman6 Em, the Jews *are* still mad at the Germans. For a war that lasted a couple years. The Irish who suffered hundreds of years of war with the English have an immensely greater right to be angry. Or do you expect them to see their people being colonized and just sit back and twiddle their thumbs? To feel nothing and think nothing of violence is the sick thing to do.

  • @Rogosuki The people who lived hundreds of years ago don't live now. The ways of thinking have changed. England doesn't want to colonize Ireland.

  • @senman6 If England does not want to colonize Ireland Why does it still have a colony in the 6 counties of the north.4 millon Irish want to have one Free Country with no ties to the UK. 1 million Irish want to be part of the UK.

One Island not connected to the UK; One Man ,One vote. 80% to 20% majority rule. But No the UK gerrymanders 6 countries and creates a colony in the north of the Island. Colonial Rule still exists in the Northern 6 Counties.

  • @MrRN222 If Northern Ireland wants to be part of the UK,why not let it? Ireland has it's people and so does the UK including Northern Ireland. And it's not a colony since they are willingly a part of it. Don't single out England. The UK is consist of multiple kingdoms.

  • @MrRN222 England does not have an Irish colony in the north of Ireland. Ulster is part of the Scottish Presbyterian Empire... Call it British if you must, but to call it English is just wrong.

  • @marcN19 Ulster has nine counties, six are occupied by the british state, get your facts right

brilliant by sinead, she is so right

  • @senman6 From the Irish nationalist perspective the English are doing it up to this day and nobody in the international community cares caus they like the Brits.

  • Maeve O;Brien, Listnen to the lyrics

  • She is right, thats about all i can say, fair play to her!

  • Sinead is one of the most talent and beautiful women in the world.

  • our aboriginal and Torres strait peoples should listen to this song!

  • @judda96 what the fuck u mean by that? U silly little cunt

  • She used to be quite fit, shes a twat tho, listen to this shite, jesus sinead

  • Brilliant!

  • about Ireland

  • Thanks Sinead!

  • you gotta admit it's not the best thing she did

  • @weirdogilly No ,but it is one of the best. Next to Throw down your arms.

  • @fiftythirdand3rd it's nice enough but i guess i'm a bit boring and like the more familiar stuff no offence intended, all the best

  • You get your 'fact's from mainstream sources with an agenda - all two legged creatures are equal. No such thing, look around, men created everything, women tend to be frivolous and vain, they do on the whole talk more, louder, faster, go back to your yapping to someone else. Your responses prove men are smarter. Thanks again for pointing that out. No one else heare disagrees.

  • Nobody here talks about the 'music' it's all about the politics. I don't like being preached at by some stupid broad, most don't.

  • @robmatlivingstone why do you think someone would care about your opinion.

i hate people that they dont like some artist and still sit here to write and answer and write and answer as if anyone would give a damn. when i dont like someone i dont spend more time to preach the world....

go watch something else...oh man...so pathetic. ***im not a great fan of her either but u if you pissed me off i totally understand her big fans...

  • @ElectricMple You obviously care about my opinion, you give a damn, what, are you stupid? If you don't

t like something you don't say anything, but here you are... Pathetic? Yeah sh'e a pathetic, nasty cunt, the most hated singer in the world next to Yoko Oh No. Her fans are nasty, pig headed feminist whores.

  • @robmatlivingstone hahahah ok...you are such an idiot..i was expecting some clever answer but hell...how old are you? 10? good luck little stupid. i dont give a fck about your opinion...you re a loser...sinead sells records and shows whatever you think or not...your unoticed anyway....goodbye

  • @dolitsa Borrrrrring.............

  • @robmatlivingstone oh finally you got it...you are boring.

  • i love you sinead!!!!!!!

  • Sinead is a gift that bears gifts.

  • Lots of women think she's an angry, nasty, depressing cunt - do they hate women?

  • @robmatlivingstone Women can be pathetic sexists just as men can. If a woman thinks all women are inferior to men, are they sexist? Get over yourself, of course they are.

  • @Morbidskull I DON'T FUCKING LIKE HER. MOST PEOPLE DON'T LIKE HER, SHE'S A STUCK UP NASTY CUNT. WHAT, YOU CALL YOURSELF 'MORBID SKULL'? HOW DISGUSTING. NO GO BACK TO READING YOUR FEMINIST MARXIST GIBBERISH AND STOP TRYING TO THINK, IT'S NOT WORKING FOR YOU, YOU STUPID BITCH.

  • @robmatlivingstone Lol. Stop your crying. I am not a great fan either, but that does not mean I have to start attacking people over it. Grow-up. Your arguments are so typical of you pseudoscientific, conspiracy-theorist types: nonsensical emotional arguments full of holes and logical fallacies. Try and collect your thoughts before vomiting them all over the internet.

  • @Morbidskull So I don't like her, so what? That means I'm a conspiracy theorist now? What argument? I said she's a nasty, angry depressing cunt, most people will agree. She's a horrible singer, worst off key shit I ever heard, I saw her live unfortunately.

  • @Morbidskull Of course women are inferior to men, eaual right for women has been a disaster. Women are manipulative, vain, frivolous, creatures. 80% of all consumer products are for women. What's destroying the environment? Useless garbage manufactured for vain women.

  • @robmatlivingstone The sexes are pretty much equal in terms of intellect. Men weld a disproportionate amount of economic power, so your “destroying the environment” argument falls at the first hurdle. By your own logic, men are inferior to women because they call the shots when it comes to destroying the environment. Nice one, Einstein. You’re obviously smarter than most. ;)

  • @Morbidskull Men have larger, more dense brains with a more highly developed intellect, that should be obvious, men invented virtually EVERYTHING, like the computer you're yapping through. Women talk twice as loud, twice as fast and three times as much as men - this is biological. Women are nesters and men are hunters and gatherers. Feminism was created and promoted by the same people running the banks and corporations, it's social engineering.

  • @Morbidskull Men wild more power because they have the brains to do it. I love women, I hate yappy, bitter, nasty bitches though, as do all men. Oh and Einstein was a proven fraud. He worked in a patent office and stole the theory from David Watson who filed his patent there. Einstein had handlers who coached him what to say. He could'nt do basic math even. The famous photo of him in front of the blackboard holding a piece of chalk with the equations all over it is a staged photo.

  • @robmatlivingstone There is no statistically significant association between brain size and intellect between humans (i.e. take two men and compare brain size, the one with the larger brain is just as likely to have a lower or higher IQ). Yes, there is a gender disparity in brain size; however, the mean IQ for women is actually higher: there are SLIGHTLY more men below 100 than women. However, there are more men represented in the very edges (very bottom and very top of the bell curve).

  • @Morbidskull Which men? What race? I'm a scientist, you are a moron - you must be a woman!

  • @robmatlivingstone The idea that women speak more than men is a myth. The amount of words per day between sexes is equal. A caveat is: there is a difference between situations. Men on AVERAGE speak more in public and work, and women on AVERAGE speak more at home. There are many men who speak much more than the average women, and visa-versa.

If Einstein were a fraud, then my comparison still does not lose it's validity... ;)

  • @Morbidskull Hoew do you know they are equal - cause the fat Jew Lesbian Marxist college instructor told you that? You only prove my argument by your stupid replies - thanks again!

  • @robmatlivingstone My sources are peer-reviewed studies - which are free to access on psychINFO and web of science portal to name but two. If you are actually a scientist it should be easy for you to look it up as you will be familiar with those portals. If you actually were a 'scientist' you would not base your opinion on anecdotal evidence, and on... oh let me see, science? Unless you use the term 'scientist' as loosely as you seem to use the term 'evidence'.

  • @Morbidskull Hoew do you know they are equal - cause the fat Jew Lesbian Marxist college instructor told you that? You only prove my argument by your stupid replies - thanks again! I've never heard a woman say anything intelligent in my life. Go have some children and do what you are designed to do - be a mother! You'll be happy, yopu are a miserable cunt obviously.

  • @robmatlivingstone Anyway, if all these ‘facts’ you are using to back-up your position actually were TRUE, your argument would still be invalid. You are making an emotional argument, not one based on facts. You decide your position then try and find facts to back it up. Anecdotes and ‘common sense’ are not enough to base factual claims on. Look at the facts first and then make up your mind, you have it backwards.

  • @Morbidskull This cunt calls herself 'Morbid Skull' - what kind of woman would call herself that? What a disgusting pig.

  • @robmatlivingstone You are obviously so intelligent and confident in your position that you resort to ad hominem attacks (that's one of those fallacies I was telling you about, an internet search will enlighten you). The intellectual level of your arguments is the best argument against them. You a male, and you made those stupid arguments, then all males must be stupid? I don't think so. You assume I am female without evidence other than assumption, like always you are wrong.

  • @robmatlivingstone Take some control of your emotions; you are like a wild animal-savagely attacking anyone who corners you with questions you don’t know the answer to. You are everything you claim is wrong with women. You are an intellectually, emotionally and socially retarded individual. If you want to have a real discussion that does turn into personal attacks I am willing.

  • @robmatlivingstone If you just want to live in your fantasy world, just say so-I don't want to waste my time with a psychotic, delusion and conspiracy theorising lunatic that is unwilling to look at the evidence because the New World Order is taking over the world and obscuring the facts about reality! That is what you believe right? That is what I mean when I mentioned conspiracy before, all those insane beliefs. Look up psychoticism.... You might learn something about yourself.

  • @Morbidskull So there are no conspiracies.... it's all pschoticism.. .it's in the criminal code, people conspire and go to prison if you have'nt heard...New WORLD ORDER,,,that's what George Bush , the Pope and Gordon Brown call it, they must be conspiracy theorists. Go stick your pathetic head up your stupid ass, you know nothing. You probably believe the official 911 story too you are so brainwashed and stupid.

  • @robmatlivingstone Of course there are conspiracies. You know fine well what kind I mean. "..any fringe theory which explains a[n] event as the result of a secret plot by conspirators of almost superhuman power and cunning." 911 Truthers fall under that, indeed! :). Now, I am pretty happy with my head not up my ass, thank you. You should really consider taking yours OUT of your ass.

  • @Morbidskull All 911 'truthers' fall under what? What's 'fringe'? Whatever the dumbasses don't believe? It's an elaborate Satanic ritual, look it up. In fact I published a book about it. If you are nice you can read it.

  • hmm what year was this i wonder?

  • Sinead O'Connor has informed me and I will follow threw in my own way! Read your history people, plus she is right! Don't right her off as a nutbar! Healing: Remberance, Grieving then Forgiving, Knowledge, Understanding! Forgiveness,

    Forgiveness, Forgiveness, Forgiveness,Forgiveness..(Love)!

  • This woman is hideous.

  • @robmatlivingstone This woman is beautiful, brave and truthful. This women tells it like it is and takes the flak for it. This woman is one of the finest singers in the world. This woman stands proud and defies woman-haters like you.

  • @mightymissk I'm a woman hater because I can't stand Sinead O'Connor? If I don't like Van Morrison does that mean I hate men? What, are you a retard or something. This woman is a nasty, angry, depressing cunt - that's why you like her.

  • @robmatlivingstone Yes you are a woman hater because you can't stand Sinead. You come on this page, you leave a note calling her hideous for no apparent reason. And now you call her a cunt. You're a misogynist all right. Why is she nasty? For standing up for sexually abused kids? Why is she depressing--because you don't like women who talk about serious stuff? Because you don't like ballads, you judgmental little prick. Sinead speaks for a lot of women--women see through the likes of you.

  • Bitch has an attitude, but she makes some good points. Beautiful voice.

  • Bitch has an attitude, but she makes some good points.

  • The English did what they did because of a big inferiority complex, they knew the Irish and Ireland itself was the beginning of civilization....There were schools in Ireland when the English were living in caves....

  • @Celine- she is saying "forgiveness"

  • what lyric is she singing in the end.?it sounds like fork and knife to me.by the way this woman is brilliant

  • @Celine4eva95 forgiveness , broken up for giveness

  • @kabooki09 lol thanks...now i hear it

  • i lover her..

  • There's forgiveness and there's acting like doormats. Usual suspects and usual means. Get them before they starve the Irish in a second famine, lads?

  • Irish Hip-Hop?

  • Sounds like a rap song without the 'yo yoh'

  • why is she wearing the star of david ......she s not jewish??????? , please say no .

  • @magnvsmarcvs In those times we live in the symbols are not the same as they were... If she actually is Jewish it's ok to wear the Star of David, but if she's not, it doesn't change anything.

I hate to talk about this situation but it's a shame that meanings of the symbols, the very truth they're holding in is just fading these days.

  • EVERY Irishman whose opinion I've spoken to ( I lived for a year in Cork) thinks Irish is fake, pointless and only there for the benefit of an army of self-serving intellectuals who indulge their hobby at the tax payers' expense. As a Welsh speaker I found this this bloody insulting and evidence the the English weren't the only ones responsible for its demise. That's the brutal truth from an outsider generally sympathetic to the Irish cause.

  • Curse upon you Oliver Crommwell ! You raped our Mother land. I hope your rotting down in hell for the horrors that ya sent to our forefathers!

  • If there ever is to be healing, there has to be remembering and then grieving.

  • FECKING BRILLIANT! All HAIL QUEEN SINEAD!

  • just shit

  • @mouthybitch88 I forget the story, but I'm thinking there was some sort of deal with her mum when she was young. Her parents fought and divorced, and she lived with her mother, who I think abused her. Looking at Wikipedia, she later moved in with her father, but her troublemaking got her put in asylm which seems to have been run by the Catholics. When she was around 19 her mother was killed in a car accident, which hit her hard even though that relationship was tense.

  • shes a good singer but way too poltical for me shes a bit crazy, she goes on about child abuse a lot, do u think she was abused wen she was young?

  • @mouthybitch88 You make ridicules the statements you do and you think SHE'S a little crazy? Do you know anything about how much child abuse there is in Ireland and how it has gone on generation after generation. I have spent the better part of my adult life working with abused children and adults who have been victims of child abuse. Gee, its too bad you think those of us who are concerned with little things like the effects of starvation, genocide and child abuse are "a little bit crazy."

  • @TheBrendabob i make ridiculous statements? sounded like a perfectly sensible ques to me, i dont know her fucking history thats why im asking, and anyway is she really concerned or she just trying to make herself look good for publicity. who r u anyway sineads mum?

  • @mouthybitch88 Yes, I am a mom, but not Sinead's. I would be proud to be Sinead's mom. And yes, I think some your remarks are ignorant. Please forgive me if you're just a kid. Since Sinead is so disliked by so many people (including my British Mother) for things she sings about and says/does, in public I don't think she's trying to look good at all. By the way you spell mum I am just assuming you are British. If you are, why do the British and the Irish use forms of the word fuck so much?

  • @mouthybitch88 I do feel protective of Sinead because she seems so venerable and somewhat emotionally fragile. Has her judgment always been the best? Of course not. But haven't most of us made a few errors in judgment at some time or another, especially in our youth? I can't help it. I just like the girl.

  • @TheBrendabob well ok but im entitled to my opinion too and im just saying shes way too politcal for me. good singer but its like just shut up and sing i mean shes singing about the irish famine that was like wot about 200 yrs ago?

  • @mouthybitch88 yes she was abused as a child. listen to fire on babylon. that's what she sang about her childhood.

  • @mouthybitch88 You don't need to be abused in order to care about child abuse. And if you feel you do... I hope you're not a mother. Nor ever near a child.

  • @Rogosuki well excuse meeeeee! thats a bit far i was only asking a question all im saying is, she should just shut up and sing instead of being all political what the fuck is she going on about halfway through this song old men in pubs n that

  • @mouthybitch88 "what the fuck she is going on about" is obviously over your head...go back to ur kiddie music...u know something with a good beat u can dance to and not be bothered with thinking

  • @thinkkbe4uspk I do bother thinking as a matter of fact, im thinking right now why is this asshole getting all worked up with wot i said about sum famous singer he doesn't even know

  • I'd like to Bukake Sinead.

    She is hot!

Wonder if she takes it in the balloon knot?

  • @Beesh03 in the balloon knot?

  • @siti1ca Ballon Knot resembles the anus!

  • @Beesh03 god that is freaking hilarious!

  • @siti1ca Glad I could make you laugh!

  • Rapping!

  • How can anyone say she is right? Shes blaming on Irelands problems on the British

The Irish were people were to blame just as much as the average Brit for the famine, ie, not at all. It was the British upper class AND the Irish upper class that were at fault, the Irish landowners that raped their tenants are to blame as much as anybody. If they werent so greedy, there would have been no famine. The sooner we stop blaming each others, the sonner we can move on

  • @lgr1991 I agree with much of what you say, but I think Sinead is saying the same thing as you are. The Irish and the British need to stop blaming each other and forgive one another for perceived wrongs of the past and move on. My mother is 85 years old and British. The last time I spoke with her she told me she "hated" Ireland, the Irish and the Catholics. Its one of stupidest things I've ever heard in my life. I didn't argue with her because she's old and she's my mom, but really?

  • @lgr1991 no the landowners werent Irish, Irish people were not allowed own land. It is completely the fault of the British, the "Irish" upper class was British.

  • My mother came to the US from Enland in 1946, and most all mine ancestry is English. As a white man in the US, the political correctness religion and the far left blame me personally for everything that ever went wrong since the dawn of history. I have never done anything, and it is not fair. Everyone who ever lived in the mid-nineteenth century is dead and gone. Let us live and love for today. There is nothing that we can do now about the famine of the 1840's.

    Quentih Holt, Candlemaker

  • @Quentin217 @Quentin217 Well fair play to you! Nice comment, although your spelling and grammar could use some attention but no matter it still stands as a great comment. However never ever say that there is nothing that we can do, there is definately somethings that you can do.

  • @Quentin217 Indeed there are a few things.... 1) recognise how it happened, 2) teach people about it that it may never happen again 3) Don´t take it personally and teach your children to be respectfull so as they can overcome their shameful legacy and build a brighter more humane one for their own children.

  • Sinead is always spot on, & to all the so called friends / industry cowards, she thought she had, go fuck yurselfs. I comprehend & support her quest, always have done,,,,cheers.

  • there was no famine....Sinead you're a genious...song written from the heart

  • The English did not cause the Famine, the shop keepers and small land owner or keepers made food product so high that no one could buy them, more so people that lived in small towns. Like today they inflated the price of housing for the joe s of this country now they are being hounded by the banks. She and her like are promoting a small narrow minded market.

  • @TheLongfords That is the stupidest thing ive ever read. Why open your mouth if you dont know what your talking about?

  • Absolutely gorgeous! As always

  • I am Irish and dont blame the ordinary English for the famine. I blame their monarchy and noblemen. I dont understand why Sinead O Connor wears a David star, when the talmudic jews supported William of Orange and all other catastrophies that fell on our land. Well its no doubt the same all over the world. Who killed the Kennedy brothers. The Israelies of course. Zionism is the curse of the world and JFK wanted to make the ME free of atomic weapons so the batards killed him.

  • @TheLangelander Absoluetly WELL SAID!!

  • @TheLangelander You are sick with hate Langelander and you are in prison. Every minute spent in hate is a minute wasted. There is a way out.

  • @TheLangelander - you don't blame the English but you are interested in connecting the famine to Jewish conspiracy??? You are friggin ridiculous.

  • This is beautiful and sadly echoes word by word the history of all Celtic people. Ireland, Scotland, Mann, Wales, Cornwall, Bretagne, brethren under chains, our own pasts taken away, no memory, just the shame and dull pain of colonialism.

But we are Celts, our memory is in our heart and even as it bleeds, we will always be free.

    Bevet atao Keltia!

  • this song is mind blowing, especially at the end when you thought you were blown away but it keeps going.

  • that tramp, shes some idiot

  • @TheLongfords You are the perfect example of ignorance. You are the most profound example of idiocy. You are some special boy. You could be the poster chlld for the World Society of Idiots. Said that, the point is that the english ought to understand that it will never be over. The armed struggle will NEVER be over until all the english thugs and the thugs of the irish loyalist police leave and go back crawling to their fucking queenie in bloody London. So, The CIRA will ultimately WIN. Idiot.

  • @TheLongfords In what sense?

  • I love Sinead

  • The famine was another example of mass murder by the english (and irish) capitalist class. It was not carried out by "the english". There is no such thing.

The english working class made no decisions concerning politics or economics or anything else and still don't and can't be held responsible. If you start any analysis from a "nationalist" position then you get it wrong. You have to start from a class position to understand capitalist history especially the great tragedies like the "famine".

  • @redpaulxx Nice to see someone writing something sane about this for once. Comments like "the Irish have been oppressed for close to 1,000 years by the English" serve no purpose at all, 1000 years ago England was not unified and was ruled by people from all over the place, and just about to be conquered by the French too!! I'm English and will not apologize for atrocities committed by a ruling elite that my ancestors were not and will never be a part of.

  • Much respect to the Choctaw Nation, Turks, British Jews & Quakers, & all who helped our ancestors to survive......

  • It was and still is a Class War....

The Rich Irish and English banqueted in Dublin while planning the export of Irish food and the poor were just allowed to eat potatoes....

There is still a huge divide between rich and poor in Ireland....

Still the Rich banquet in Dublin and Still there is Poverty in Ireland....

The same Class War is Global....

  • @blueplanetadvocate right on.

  • She should count themselves lucky, since after the Jacobite rebellions of 1688-1746 the Scots would be killed on sight if they were caught speaking Gaelic, wearing kilts or playing bagpipes.

  • @ysbaddaden2003 The Irish were treated just the same regarding speaking Gaelic and playing the harp.

  • I love her sometimes she sounds and looks mad, but she is very right with the church, politics, corruption.

So many years later she broke the picture from the pope, you can see now the truth.

  • she sings Rap!!! I love you sinead!!!!

  • So the English tried to ban Irish, every Irish person I've ever known hated being forced to learn Irish in school so it's good to see there's one thing the two countries can agree on! Personally if I were Irish I'd have the passion and pride to speak it but we're all different

  • @dimgwalltameiben Your ignorant. I mean that in the true sense. You haven't a clue. The english all too often shot anyone who spoke Irish. FACT. They decimated the language. There are only a few areas left where our language was not thieved from us. I am Irish and I can safely say that the vast majority of people here that arent fluent in irish would love to be. You should keep your ignorance to yourself.

  • @squiresfan What am I ignorant of ? " I can safely say that ..." You're a liar, you're unable to say that because you. I and every Irish person knows that that is not true. The decline of irish has ACCELERATED since independence, you know that as well. You should keep your bullshit to yourself.

  • @dimgwalltameiben I said "that the majority of people here that arent fluent in irish, would love to be". The key part of my statement there was that they would love to be fluent. Who the hell are you to assume you know what the desires of the majority of the irish people are? Trying to bring a language back from the brink of death is not an easy task but according to the official CSO statistics there has been a rise of 140,689 Irish speakers from 1,430,205 to 1,570,894 from 1996 to 2002.

  • I like this live version better then the MTV one.

  • i have to say the chick is crazy but she has a many many points, remember when people killed her for ripping the photo of the pope and now people that have their eyes open might have to eat crow...

  • this could be the song of the American Indians..or for that fact, any suppressed people.

  • @csutton161

True. However, the Irish have been oppressed for close to 1,000 years by the English. "The famine" was nothing short of genocide. Have the English even so much as apologized? Even if they did, apologies mean nothing and change nothing. How about giving Ireland back to the Irish? What right do/did they ever have to Ireland to begin with?

  • @badolan none. but colonialism changes a nation irreversibly. they divided the irish at the roots.. religiously, politically, economically. "An Empire-builder handing on. We reap the ruin when you've gone, All your errors heaped behind you: Promises that do not bind you, Hopes in conflict, cramped commissions, Faiths exploited, and traditions. You came, you saw, you conquered ... So. You gorged - and it was time to go. Good riddance. We'd forget - released - But for the rubbish of your feast."
  • @badolan

I am not from ireland. Not even brit, but what England did to Ireland ENGLAND DID TO IRELAND, not one government to other or one government to Ireland...

  • @badolan this is true. but this is also a worldwide kind of policy. those of the Irish who were shipped out during the "famine", such as my family, were sent to lands in north america which already belonged to native people, and were forced to begin nations in geographic locations which belonged to people who had been living there already for more than a thousand years. which is no different than the situation in our motherland. this is the new world.

  • @Buckles419 ...If you call that "living". We could have waited thousands of years, but the Siberian immigrants wouldn't have set up a single sky-scraper.

  • really good performance..and good lyrics

  • The American gov is using the same playbook

  • With a few personal stories, this still rings true

  • there was a Famine in 1700's Ireland. From years of constant bad weather the potato crop failed & caused the deaths of 4000,000 people.

  • Wow she's got hair. She really needs to JUST sing! Muzzle her for everything else!

  • I can not believe Irish are not speaking Irish language anymore.
