  • For those analog audio enthusiasts, check out my video of a track of music taken directly from reel to reel analog and transfererred to digital. You can hear great quality and ask, is it digital or analog?? Here: enter....

L.A. Ryder as performed by P.J.

  • song at 2.00?

  • @astrubaleorlando: I think it's some kind of a maxi version of "DONNA SUMMER - I Feel Love" right before i think it's "DIVINE - Shoot your shot"

  • Супер !!! А как называется этот микс ? Где его можно скачать?

  • Thanks for this Awesome post!;-O)

  • a real shit

  • Rocking

  • Wow, some of the worst Mixes, I've ever heard!

  • why am i watching 2 reels spinning at 7.5 IPS?

  • @themasterofmovies I think it's 3 3/4 " lol!

  • All these tracks match my memories of that GREAT disco-mix era!

I was a deejay back then, and i loved all of these...

    Cool MiX!!

  • hahaha! funk is a word too offensive for this video !

  • Maybe I'm a bit slow, but why did I just watch a tape recorder running for three & a half minutes?

  • Because you don't own a Deck like this for your own?

  • @wado: only you can answer this question. ;) It has to do with the esthetic aspect of this machines.

  • I get that part, show the machine by all means, just not for the whole duration of the video.

  • @wado1942

It's fun to watch the reels go round

  • it acctully is lol

  • amazing...

  • COOL MIX ¡¡¡GREAT¡¡¡ DJ DINKY

  • this synth-bassline is killer

What´s the first song called? Artitst/Title?

If anyone knows please tell :)

  • it's called Native Love by Divine.

  • Thx:)

  • Divine - Native Love

  • The First Song is a High-NRG Song Called "Native Love from Divine" (A Draq Queen) the later is "She has a Way" from Bobby Orlando.

  • And Lime's "Babe, we're gonna love tonight" and Donna Summer's "I feel love"... Sylvester's "Do you wanna funk?"...

Though I don't really understand why this guy/girl bleeps out the word "FUNK" from 3.02 onwards... it's insane.

  • actually i wanted to sell the ~1000 pounds (honestly: thats to be seen literally!) of revox-replacement parts and platines and all of those old a77 and telefunken machines i found in my grampa's old workingspace.. now i think about repairing and keeping them all.. thanks to you for that thought! :)

however: if you need a specific thing, just drop me a line here!

  • wow please post more of that mix! -_-

  • lime -_-

  • recently bought a copy of big apple productions vol. 1,now i get the idea how they did it back in the 80's.

today we're kinda spoiled with all the portable digital recording mini studio's..i bet the sound was better back than no digital compression, pure analog.

  • Hey,,,whats with the beeep in Sylvester's song,,,,,he does not say the f word

  • just a joke i guess.. kinda funny

  • Bobby O!

  • Moroder ROX!!

  • how did they keep shit exactly on beat back then

  • by ear

  • He probably just recorded this off a CD, please show me the cuts and editing instead of a MTV video??? come on for reel' please.........

  • FANTASTIC THE WAY WE USE TO DO IT......

  • i remember this it was called summet like the big apple production volume 1 or summet still sounds mint tho gd for u for having it on here

  • ooohhhh man, this is a nice one. Got this one somewhere on one of the many tapes thats getting dusty somewhere upstairs.

great to see myself still knowing every track that's coming into the mix. I've played this one a couple of times all those years ago. Very nice to find it here. Thanks for sharing!

  • what is the very last song?

  • Lime - "Come and get your love" is the music."Shoot your shot" is the vocal.

  • This is fantastic. I have the original bootleg of this mix, picked it up in Brussels. Ace to see it on here! Thanks for posting it. Heroes memories Manchester, poppers, clones, Les Cockell....what more d'ya want x

  • This is called "Big Apple Mix" ,the first one.I was a D.J. and had this.

  • @eurodeluxe

No way, someone remembers Hero's. I used to love that place. Divine on the screen eating do shit and really pumping hi energy... Wicked. I remember Les Cockle aswell, awesome dj!!

I then open some years later as V-bar, then Club V, the home of the UK's longest running weekly house event where I have have dj'ed at for 6 years.

  • congrats!!!! it came out very nive!!!!

  • What's up whith the "BEEPP" !!! What Sylvester is Saying is "Do you Want to FUNK?"

  • It is part of the mix. Just made it suggestive.

  • Nice mix I found it on one of my old tapes. Who's playing after YMCA (2.11 min) ?

  • From 2:11 to 2:39, this two songs are played simultaneously:

Roni Griffith - Best part of breaking up

Lime - We're gonna love tonight

    Excellent old school mix!

  • just like two big slowly spinning blue boobies...*droool*
