Can someone please upload the complete version of this series. This version is supposed to be far superior to the 1974 TV version and it also lasts for 3 hours instead of 90 minutes like the 1974 version. It is even better than the 1998 film version many people have said.

The original Tom's Midnight Garden TV series came out in 1974. I remember watching it back then as a child. I didn't know that a remake of it was made in 1989.

This is a reaction from Holland. I got the book as a birthday present when I was nine (in 1959) and expected it to be a book for girls - but when I started reading the book it fascinated me and when reading the end I was in tears. The only other book with the same (then strange) effect on me was Hector Malot's "Nobody's boy", read in the same year. I am always in doubt about great books transferred to film or DVD - one's own imagination is often far better - but your clip is great.

It is a pity I have not got much in the way of 'archive' material, except for legitimate DVD discs.

My main area of interest is original television themes, where I have hundreds and most are from cd or LP source.

The Lizzie Dripping was my wife's favourite series of the 1970s.

I love this show and have a cassette version which I need to quickly transfer to DVD or else it will fade! Sound is almost gone (sigh VHS tapes aren't a permanent solution) Always loved the song in the opening (I hum it often) and it was just a great miniseries! They should re-release it

@StatesEdgeFilms Its so cool seeing some of this again, I also have it on VHS tape somewhere, although what the condition is now like I dont know lol. You rarely come across it now, so thank you, we used to watch it as a youngster!
