i tried to learn how to use Linux but i cant seem to get my nvidia drivers installed and every time i use Linux after a while it ends up booting into a console and asking me for my user name and password and when i put it in it just stays in console, i have no idea what to do
Its fiddly due to the frequent kernel updates etc. What I do is this, I download the driver from Nvidias website which is a .bin file. I then go into a console, run init 3 which puts me into a very simple command line view and I then install that file I downloaded once logged in as root. I step through the wizard, ensuring I have kernel-headers installed using yum and once I reboot its done. I need to do it again every now and then but I'm used to Linux after 5 years.
.exe files are Windows program files which you can run using Wine on Linux but this is another layer on top of Linux which allows programs which were written for Windows to run on Linux. Usually its best to try and find a Linux alternative. Just like Mac.
I think you're the only person that noticed. The kerneloops was nothing important, I forget what the issue was but likely related to the VirtualBox hardware devices.
You're probably looking at the UI for improvements. Big mistake. Fedora 10 has the new kernel, new GNOME/KDE environment, faster boot-up time, better wifi support, and better webcam support. I'd say that's plenty improvement.
Hello, i think this video is about a "quick-learn" about Fedora 10. Not about Delilah :P. By the way, thanx for sharing. Do you recommend F-10 BETA or F-9?
At the moment I'd have to say Fedora 9 unless you can wait for Fedora 10 to be released. I've installed Fedora 10 Beta on my desktop, its ok, some things are odd, like my Nvidia sound card (onboard nvidia chipset) is very quiet. I'm yet to find the correct volume option to correct it. There are other things too, but it IS cutting edge.
I put music on because it was a bit boring silent. It's not the 1920's anymore ;)
I thought a basic run through of it is better then just a comment or some screenshots. Let me know if anyone wants anymore and I'll look at working out better quality.

FC10 looks no different to FC9
Currently running FC9 on a vostro 1500 with a 8400M GS.
compiz fusion rocks. And the graphics aren't slow like most guys in reviews complain about :D:D

IMO you should have commented. I found the music extremely annoying, but I can always mute it.
Thanks for the video.
