I just figured out that the Aug on MW2 is AWESOME. I switch between the red dot and the grip, because i have to have sleight of hand on because the aiming time is just too slow for me.

ok.....neither the rpd or aug is underused...i use both as my primary guns besides the ump. lol. went 53-3 with nuke in under 2 minutes with aug, then right after that 55-13 with nuke in about 4 minutes. The AUG H-BAR is a large assault rifle. So is the L86, but they added a tripod to both of them and they are suddenly LMG's. But the AUG would be amazing if you could put like an attachable Ranger to the bottom.

AUG+RDS is good even for longshots even without SP. Great gun all-round, but the low speed puts me off. Sadly, the pace is now dominated by the MLCs, so mobility is important.

TIP: anyone who's trying to get headshots with the AUG just snap on a thermal sight go into a good old hardcore team deathmatch and 1 shot kills no prob so that's what ive been doing. Just thought id share my tip

THe AUG is acually not an LMG, it's a heavy barrel variation of an assault rifel, and I think it's called a heavy barrel support weapon

@CHinator100 lol, The Steyr AUG is one of he most versatile assault rifles of all time and it came out in the 70s... You can use 3 barrels without the need to use tools to change them. You have a regular assault barrel, HBAR (heavy LMG barrel) and a long marksman barrel. The Austrians were doing this in the 70s and other gun makers are just now getting into the action.
