  • Looks like a 553?

  • it sounds like a fuckin toy

  • I find this hard to belive but it's true you can see the empty shells fly out after he shoots everything. but no recoil?

  • @Thomas9606

Its a .22. There is no recoil.

  • @Thomas9606 I also have a 522... part of it is that its a .22, but the other part of it is that the 522 is heavy *for a .22 rifle*. It weighs a touch more than the M&P 15-22.

  • It is a surpresser noob

  • @z0mbiekill4theWin

If you're going top call a device a non standard made up name could you at least spell it right. Suppressor not surpresser. You weren't even close.

  • Bull shit

  • @z0mbiekill4theWin Sais the guy who thinks changing the stock on an AK-47 makes is a 74u.

  • now you just need a suppressor for the action :p

  • when do you start shooting?

  • One of my favorite guns. I'm jealous.

  • @Insinfier get one =) i just dd and it is WORTH it

  • Wow no kidding bolt noise only. Nice.

  • @ZippoCollector8995

I shoot both. Right handed but left eye dominant so I switch hit.

  • That was cool.... I plan on getting one of these rifles.... also not trying to be a handjob here but I do believe it's called a suppressors and not a silencers lol just saying.

  • @Eslamizar

Nope. Theyre called silencers. A silencer can suppress or silence depending on the type of ammo being used but just sitting on the shelf doing nothing its still a silencer. The inventor named them that and the ATF refers to the as silencers.

  • @mikeandnatasha yep., silencers is correct., god man, how do you deal with all the know-it-alls all day., id turn that rifle on myself haha., thx for the vids mike

  • @mikeandnatasha nope they are suppressors... did that sound silent to you?

  • @1986korn

Doesnt matter what it sounded like. It could sound like a freight train . It would still be a silencer. It could sit on a shelf with the ends welded shut. Still a silencer. The ATF regulates the devices and on their forms to buy one or build one they are referred to as silencers. The inventor called them silencers and the common vernacular is silencer. Look it up in the dictionary. In English a noun does not have to fully describe the action of a device. Silencer is a name.

  • @mikeandnatasha . The proper name Silencer has since fallen out of favor with some among the firearms industry, being replaced with the more literally accurate term sound suppressor or just suppressor, because a "sound suppressor" does not "silence" any weapon, rather it eliminates muzzle flash and reduces the sonic pressure of a firearm discharging.

  • @1986korn

It can fall out of favor with some of everyone. Its still called a silencer. In English a proper name does not have to fully illustrate the function of a device. Some of the top industries such as AAC still proudly refer to their devices as "silencers" . So does the BATF.

  • @1986korn tell that to silencerco

  • @mikeandnatasha Ah, the usage police are out in force, lol. Why are people so persnickety about certain words? Why can't it be both silencer and suppressor? Language is fluid and changing, not static and anyone who thinks otherwise, needs to read a book. Great vid, btw.

  • Great view

  • do one without the silencer and compare?

  • my god thats quiet

  • sounds like an airsoft gun... great supressor + subsonic ammo

  • get a real gun!

  • holy shit...thats quieter than an airsoft gun

  • @kr0pp It is an airsoft gun. No recoil no cartridges.

  • @Necroborgie

Its a 22. There is no recoil and the footage is to grainy to see 22 shells ejecting. Its a real SIG 522.

  • @Necroborgie And you are a CoD kid.... hahahahahaha

  • Great video, thanks for sharing.

The specter would definitely come in handy for hunting neighborhood cats (just kidding PETA people....kinda).

  • Really? Its not called a silencer... Its a suppressor. Its a .22, thats how loud they are with out your tacticool "silencer"

  • Ever fill out an ATF form 4? The ATF refers to them as silencers or mufflers. Nothing about suppressors. The ATF are the ones who's ass I have to kiss to buy one. The inventor of the devices Hiram Maxim called them silencers. Look up silencer in the dictionary.

2.a device for deadening the report of a firearm. In English a noun , such as silencer, does not have to describe the function of the device the word represents.

Go onto AAC's website and take a look at all their pretty silencers

  • @mikeandnatasha oh, My bad, I apologize... I have just read that its called a suppressor? Could you give me some more info?

  • Sometime in the 70's there was a writer for Soldier of Fortune who fancied himself a silencer expert. He decided that because the device did not completely silence the report of the firearm ( especially crappy 70's silencers ) that they should be called "suppressors" because that better describes what the devices accomplished and many people were let down by their new "silencers" . Calling them suppressors seemed more logical. Thing is that's not really how the English language works.

  • A silencer does not have to do anything. It can sit on the shelf and never get attached to a gun and never "do" anything but the ATF still considers it a "silencer" . The inventor of the devices Hiram Maxim christened the devices as "silencers" in his 1909 patent. Thats good enough for me. In English a noun does not have to describe the function of what it represents. A "Silencer" is a device that reduces the report of a firearm. It does not have to completely eliminate the report.

  • @sicreeum The Maxim Silent Firearms company was founded in 1909 by Hiram Maxim to produce his patented Maxim "Silencers". The BATF refers to the devices as "silencers" on the Form 4 required to buy one. No where in the patent or in the ATF's directions is there any reference to "Suppressors". You are in error. That gun with that SWR silencer sounds like a staple gun.

  • @mikeandnatasha Hey! Thanks for the information, and I sure do apologize for my imature coment before... Thank you for correcting me sir. And We just got this gun, and have been firing it, and yes your rifle is much more "silenced" than ours! So again, Thanks for being cool with me and correcting me! Nice rifle!

  • I can read your'e deleted comments and no oits not a fake silencer and yes it is quieter than a non silenced .22.

  • Sweet video!!! Just sent my $200 tax stamp in for my can.

  • wow, that´s a very nice silencer, and of course thanks tot he subsonic ammo too

and I guess the wind did more noise than the rifle itself XD

  • And somewhere there's a group of campers screaming "run we disturbed a hive of bullets!"

  • @urna55

God damned campers anyway. I have a feeling they're not camping on the hillside backstop I'm shooting at .

  • @mikeandnatasha LOL! I've been thinking about buying the 552, any regrets?

  • How did you attach the silencer to your sig? On my 522 my flash hider is welded to the end of the barrel, so i dont understand how you would be able to attach it. Does it fit around the flash hider, or did yours not come with one, and you threaded the end of the barrel.

  • @MrGulpz

Welded? I have two of them I bought new in the box and the flash hiders are just screwed on. 1/2x28 threads. Are you in California or some place they have goofy laws.

  • where did you get that silencer? I'm soon getting a sig 522 and it will be nice to have one for what i plan to do.

  • Awesome scenery too man, looks like a great place to shoot!

  • Do you need a class 3 license for that silencer? That thing is so quiet it's amazing. Have you had trouble with any ammo in the 533 at all?

  • @MIZERY713

The 522 has fed and fired every kind of ammo Ive run in it . Its really amazing how well that gun runs. .22's can be finicky but not this one.

When you buy a silencer you get a permit of sorts to buy one silencer. Its called a ATF form 4 and the stamp attached to it costs $200 and there are some conditions that must be met but if you can buy a handgun legally in the US you can own a silencer if your state allows their ownership. Most states do.

  • Holy quiet guns, I have a 522 but no silencer. I would love to have one though. Nice gun, I had a few very light primer strikes on Federal bulk the first day I had it out but the Winchester Dynapoints were flawless. Enjoy your gun.

  • @MIZERY713

Its the only .22 I have that will run Winchester subsonics which is great since I have 2 cases of them .

  • Just picked up my 522 today!!! Can't wait for the AAC Pilot suppressor to show up!! I crowned mine with a Barska M-16 1x30 Electro Sight and a Dark Ops Hellfighter Underboss mounted under barrel. Woot!!

  • awesome gun and great video

(more videos of the silenced 522?)

  • I've heard louder rubberband guns.

  • pretty damn quiet, but I think the sound quality was due more to the fact that you were outdoors with the wind blowing.

  • May be. The sound to me at the time was much quieter than the video suggests. To my ear all I heard was the bolt slap.

  • Really? I didn't think it could get much quieter, haha. Well I've seen people use a camera perfectly fine indoors, but when they start walking outside you can hear that noise.

  • beautiful

  • awesome. all you hear is the click of the trigger pin

  • great vid

  • nice
