for the life of me, I don't undertand why this show was cancelled. It's hilarious as hell. Defnitely better than Ryan Murphy's Glee, although you can see some Popular influence in Glee, with the high school stereotypes and the exaggerated humour. My favourite is Mary Cherry..what a lovable nutjob.

idk why... glee just seems... like a super diluted version of n/t and popular (mostly a mega commercial, super diluted version of popular).

Although this season reminds me more of popular in a better way - i love brit and santana <3 and their lesbian/bi relationship reminds me alot of the lesbian cheerleaders in nip/tuck

@SuperModelVogue I haven't seen much of nip/tuck, but from what I've seen it's almost an apples to oranges comparison with Glee/Popular. But, I think you're discounting the subtlety of Glee a little. It's easy to miss because some elements of it are not subtle, but in comparison to at least this ep of Popular (which I like), it's less preachy but the message is the same.

I have nothing against Carmen but her weight was too big to carry off some of the moves performed by cheerleaders. They'll only tell her to lose weight once she joined the team and that would have been another issue.

the ending of this episode is so heartbreaking to watch and the way Sam stares at Brooke like it's all her fault yes she said she would put her on the team but Sam was suppose to help Carmen in the first place and she blew her off for her journalism. They're both as bad as each other.
