  • wtf are you recording with a potatoa

  • mine dose that except i makes hissing noises

  • Try plugging in an external monitor cause the CRT may not be connected or having a broken connection to the Logic Board

  • If you changed the ram, make sure it's not eec.

  • Same problem my iMac G3 New world original is dead 3 months after purchase

  • Best thing to do is pop on Craislist and look around you might be able to pick up a G4 iMac for not that much. And i'd sell this on there for parts maybe for 15 20bucks. it's going to cost you way more to fix it then it's worth.

On my page i got a video of a imac g4 boot up tour

Thanks! If you need tech help come on over to my page. or overviews/tours.

  • You need a new logic board take it to a repair dealer and say to them you need a new logic board that happend to me befor to

  • uhoh looks like the alerter went off and thats bad! check if you have ram if you do youll need to buy an mother board for imac g3 off ebay

  • Is The Power Button Lighting Up? Your Motherboard Might Be Fried Or You have Disconnected The Power Switch.

  • Ur Pc is ancient and like turd. Get a new one from the apple store is all I can say

  • @spongebobman1 And so is your spelling. You evidently don't know that these computers were the first kind of iMacs, and that without them, the fancy shiny ones in the Apple Store wouldn't even EXIST. That is all :)

  • yr crt is screwed up

  • motherboard, OS, Ram, CRT much more

  • i had the same problem with mine so i hit it on the top and then it turned on.

  • maybe its the CRT, thats what went on mine

  • It's the RAM.

  • you're PAV board has bitten the dust or you need a new power supply

  • Screen Does it make the startup chime when you turn it on? If not its the logical board. Or your rram is bad. Or your hard drive is out of balance. Please reply if this helps.

  • tjis happened to me before with one of them so i hooked it up to aother moniter and it was the screen and sound so i got new speakers and a screen

  • Mine started doing this many years ago and when it was cold, it would start up fine, but when it was hot, it would not power up. When I brought it in for repair, they said it was the "logical board" that was failing. I remember it would cost too much to repair so I never did it and kept it working on and off like that for a couple of years and now, of course it's in my basement, unused.

  • i would say it is either the harddrive or the screen. See if you hear the hard drive running, if not it might be the screen. Try plugging in a external monitor

  • i think the problem is either Hard drive logic bored or psu

i would try the hard drive though that the most probable

    answer

    Hope this helps

  • you havnt upgraded the ram or anything have you?

  • hardisk is broked

    :(

  • i dont know wat to tell you. i would either send it back to the manufacturer or find a computer guy ( radio shack or electronic store) to fix it. but from other vids. it seems like others are having this same problem.

  • I no :( Thanks :)
