Best thing to do is pop on Craislist and look around you might be able to pick up a G4 iMac for not that much. And i'd sell this on there for parts maybe for 15 20bucks. it's going to cost you way more to fix it then it's worth.
On my page i got a video of a imac g4 boot up tour
Thanks! If you need tech help come on over to my page. or overviews/tours.
@spongebobman1 And so is your spelling. You evidently don't know that these computers were the first kind of iMacs, and that without them, the fancy shiny ones in the Apple Store wouldn't even EXIST. That is all :)
Screen Does it make the startup chime when you turn it on? If not its the logical board. Or your rram is bad. Or your hard drive is out of balance. Please reply if this helps.
Mine started doing this many years ago and when it was cold, it would start up fine, but when it was hot, it would not power up. When I brought it in for repair, they said it was the "logical board" that was failing. I remember it would cost too much to repair so I never did it and kept it working on and off like that for a couple of years and now, of course it's in my basement, unused.
i would say it is either the harddrive or the screen. See if you hear the hard drive running, if not it might be the screen. Try plugging in a external monitor
i dont know wat to tell you. i would either send it back to the manufacturer or find a computer guy ( radio shack or electronic store) to fix it. but from other vids. it seems like others are having this same problem.
wtf are you recording with a potatoa

Try plugging in an external monitor cause the CRT may not be connected or having a broken connection to the Logic Board
