Very nice explanation and history. I've had a sampling keyboard for many years that has a disk of angklung samples and they've always fascinated me. It's such a beautiful and engaging sound, and I happen to Iove pitched percussion. Thanks for the lesson - really appreciated it!

corrections: it's pronounce ungkloong. there's no Sunda island. Sunda is an ehtnic group in island of Java.
