thanks for posting this track, Navygate.. you really get some amazing melodies, textures, vibes happening. especially around 4:14 .. incredible! well done, keep up the good work, and... well, this is just a message to say i really appreciate what you are doing. :-)
absolutely amazing synth, the "Spectralis".. i searched here to find info and sounds from that particular synth after a conversation with other Elektron Users.. and i am very encouraged by the sounds you have presented. thanks again.
haha im jaleous Killer synth dude, im glad you know how to use it and youre ROcking Shit.
keeep it up if you got actual recorded songs, id like to Remix one, been a producer for 3 years, im into other scene but im experimenting with Dnb, if interested just PM.
A little slow in the beginning but I like how you worked that theme throughout. I really enjoyed the piece after about the 2 min mark. No offense to the parts before it, just not my taste per se.
So what we have here is essentially drum and bass, but with ambient sounds to temper it. It's nice, the use of a kind of understated intensity. This shows some real creativity. If I had a label this is the kind of artist I'd be looking to sign. I hope there's more on the way.
getintuit, who cares to use a sub bass? i like the bass the way it is...i don't want this song to sound the same jungle crap you are thinking of. cockboy, you are a cock sucker. traditional instrument is much easier because you don't have to be technical or know how to program it.
You should have invested some of that money in a few music classes. All that gear is great, but listening to 5 minutes of a two tone linear progression is mind numbing.
And to the people who think producing electronic music is easy and should be given less respect than traditional instrument players it just shows how unexperianced and ignorant you are. try it and prove to me it doesnt take just as long if not longer than learning a traditional instrument to sound good.
I, like pretty much every human on the planet do things for three reasons, in this order, 1)Family. 2)Money 3) Sex (you might be able to add Fame to alot of peoples list but why would most people want fame? money and sex.) Needing/wanting respect comes from being insecure and thats a personality flaw. and its seems at least 1/4 of the commenters have this.
technically its not jungle cause of the 4/4 but its still decent. as far as the equipment being crap, thats just coming from someone who's obviously jealous/ignorant. Ill take another macbook, kaos pad, the midi controler and the spectrailis.
I was amazed about the Spectralis at the Music-Messe exhibition in Frankfurt am Main/Germany 2 years ago. This device rockz (much more than in this set - sorrrryyyy!). But it's damn expensive...
travis you idiot. its money hungry people like you that have turned music into bullshit. why should money be your drive to write a cool composition? your music probably sounds like ashlee simpson...after all, her songs were written for nothing but money.
songs are pretty cool.......equipmente is amazing.......U made up some nice stuff but in some cases the sounds are kind of cut off in some part and some other sounds kind of out of context and structure...... just needs some fixes soo its not so rough but kiler sounds man, keep it like that, enjoy dont let other people fool u
What your doing is really cool. I a professional producer and session musican, and any one who is serious about their music would offer you the respect you deserve.
the spectralis is such a beautiful and powerful synth/groovebox. i playes sometimes with that, the user interface is very cryptic, but it's a lot of fun!
no offense m8 this is crap music i program beats myself and yes i agree there is moe to it than jst twisting to knobs etc there is an art to mixing but let me tell u somthing this is some shit mixing the sounds dont compliment eachother think long and hard b4 u go mapping stuff out. iv been were u are dude so i can appreciate what u doing take some advice from me this is jst makin u look lk a TWAT avin all that gear
sounds pretty good like, just ignore the wanks that think this stuff is easy!! I hasve just started, and believe me its not as simple as just chucking in a few samples and making a hit record!!
well you ´live players´, the overdrive is not you, it´s the amp, the effect is not you, it´s the pedal. The current is not you, it´s the power station. Unless you play an old instrument with no electronics it´s all the same. Guitar players make me sick, oh, but I am one.
Great sound, great music! The intro is pretty cool. And...everybody should respect all kind of music. You don't like electronic music? Just go away and don't post stupid comments!
That's harsh. How many instruments do you play? There's no place for that sort of ignorant elitism here mate. Go check out the guitar videos instead..
First of all csucker, hes performing the music. Thats not how its made. I sit for hours at the piano planning out the song. People think electronica is easy because of how its performed. By turning some turntables and twisting some nobs. Which is how its supposed to look. THAT IS NOT HOW ITS MADE. If you think its easy I'll loan you my gear. See what you can do with it.
Hey im likin the ideas. I own an electribe emx-1 awesome for tone generation. Great synths the vpm Osc is my most used waveform. Im getting a mc808 here soon lookin forward to sampling all those edgy synths to mix in 16 tracks of hardcore sound!!! keep up the good work
First of all, many thanks for those positive responses! I am currently working on some new stuff with video editing aswell to see more shots from the screen and the instruments, so hopefully you stay tuned!
Wow nice set up! I love the spectralis but out of my price range , have been looking at the Elektron Machinedrum though , that thing is a beast. By the way Props on the jungle choon, beefing up the kick a bit wouldnt hurt too. What other gear do you have by the way ?
sounds really good bro, would you recomend the SPECTRALIS are the drums coming from it to.. looks fun to play like that.. how do they all sync up? peace.
Thanks a lot! All the drums and the main pads are coming from the Spectralis. It has standard Kits but with the Analog Synth you can design Drum Sounds aswell. You can also use the Sample import function to import your own stuff (what I have done with the Kick). The equipment is connected to a USB-Midi-Interface sync with Ableton Live. I would recommend the Spectralis to all Groove-lovers who want the most out of sound design capabilities!

I wouldn't say rich!
I don't think all the hardware is necessary!
I see all these drummachines, kaoss pad!
You don't even need them these days!
My opinion!
The flames are to much, the drum sounds sound a bit cheesy/sampled!
I prefer more acoustic drumkit sound!

Making electronic is just as difficult as all kind of music , ok when you rely on sample cd's it's easy but I don't consider that musikmaking
respect to all those who begin from scratch..
BTW atmosphere is a rompler ..nothing wrong with that , but I just dont't use samples ...
