Well it is possible to have a tuned edition 30 that could beat m3, even the new one:)
Supporting mods needed: Vf intercooler, Vf intake, Milltek full exhaust, HPFP upgrade, new high pressure valve for 130bar pressure and GIAC extreme remap. You will end up at around 370 hp. With race fuel it is possible to be at around 390hp.
@tautvydasv 370 oder 390 are not possible with the original turbo! it needs a gt28 or a gt30 to push more than 350! everything else is true... i drive the same car ;) with the original turbo u make up to 330-340 hp...thats it!
It is with race fuel. With 98 you can safely have 360-370hp. I am going to get revo stage2+ in couple of month and also will make a custom CAI with ITG filter.
Currently I am havin superchips stage 3, however though it is called stage 3. It is very conservative.
There is no damage to engine. It is only customization. Of course it depends on supporting mods. APR software is not for edition it is for K04 kitted cars. Therefore they push less. Edition cars have lower compression, different cams and etc. So specific maps can easilly make powers in region 340-370hp with no damage to engine :) I have seen logs from 365hp revo stage+ everything is very nice. There is no damage to engine.

@tautvydasv I have the same engine on my Cupra 2.0 TFSi K04: Bluflame TBE exaust, S3 intercooler, Evoms Intake, Autotech Hpfp - 382hp on the rolling road with Revo settings B9 T7 F9.

390 is possible with lots of timing, 1.4 boost at redline and of course race fuel (GIAC)

Ich habe die gleichen Erfahrungen gemacht. Der Edition 30 zieht mitnem B3 Alpina bis 100 mit...dann trennt sich die Spreu vom Weizen!
Und der E46 M3 ist eine ganz andere Liga als der Alpina...entweder warst du nie M3-Fahrer oder dein M3 war kaputt!
Kurzum: Ein Serien-GTI (E30) hat gegen einen M3 ab Bj. 93, egal ob E36, 36 oder 90, KEINE SONNE!!!

this gti edition is 305 wheel power and 47kgm torque at wheels (tuned by Trip Team in Greece) and the BMW is 1st stage tuned...

Quatsch...selbst mit einem gem. Prüfstand 241PS E36 Alpina B3 hab ich einen edition 30 verblasen, das war kein "Rennen", das war langweilig!
Und ein M3, egal ob E36, E46 oder E92 ist mir in jeder Lebenssituation davon gefahren. Mit einem GTI spielt er nicht mal...;)
