theres no point in having your cpu that high atm no game requires it to be that high at of this time the highest games are at 3.5ghz for a quad processor maybe even less, your graphics is gunna be where your bench mark

Bulldozer draws too much power, if you go with Intel, you won't have that problem, so your electricity bill will be lower and you will profit on performance. I don't get what AMD was doing all this time. By next year Intel is coming with something newer, while AMD has core issues, oh well, the best always win. Cheers!

Nice vid, can you tell me if you or anyone has run trifire 3 6970s and eyefinity on this chip yet, as i find this a problem with intels, i have 3 6970's a 2600k plus a gigabyte ud7 and a asrock extreme7 but both boards have problems when running eyefinity under 3 cards but fine with one display.. as AMD is a different setup i was hoping it may just shine under this kind of setup, if it did i would order it lol sorry for the text on my mobile. :)

I think bulldozer is going to bring the fun back to overclocking with cold. I think its been a year since Ive seen some real ln2 action. clarksdales was so much fun with ln2 and then SB came in and it was over. time to get the dewars filled again.

@NoxeN83 yeah true your cpu only cost 4 times as much as the fx 8150 but also your motherboard is at a premium price too so is the little bit extra performance worth the price premium... too some it might but to some it is NOT!

@SRSpoony When we do our overclokcing tests, we try to find the limits of some particular technology / architechture, so it is quite obvious, that we also test maximum freq's. In this case disabling bulldozer modules and using only one of them gives a lot of gain. Temperature and amount of current is a lot lower, so overclocking results will be better, if we talk about pure MHz. We reached 8GHz with 1 module and 7.2GHz with all 4 bulldozer modules enabled.

Right now the Bulldozers arent doing to well (Worse than the phenom) which makes no sense at all, I knew something wasnt right. After a little research I found out it was because of the motherboard manufacturer's BIOS's not perfectly supporting them quite yet.

@Tyler11440 There is not that much issue with the bios + bulldozer, but more like current software + bulldozer. It will be bit better situation with Windows 8 and with some new software which can use all potential these CPU's are offering :)

@SF3DOC The only problem is when Windows 8 releases this cpu will be bested by the Ivy bridge anyway. And right now the i5 2500k performs better and its $40 less. I was hoping Amd would destroy sandy bridge and force even better cpu's from Intel, but it looks like im gonna keep my 2500k and wait for Ivy Bridge.

@Huliokilledyourmom It's new, so things can be a little bumpy for a 100% architecture revision. This thing will work even better after bios updates, and this thing is pretty much MADE for windows 8 according to how it performs on the dev preview for win8.
