Driving up 14st NYC on a saturday night WAS SO MUCH FUN BACK THEN,traffic jams from people getting to all the great clubs back then, Palladium, The Underground, Club marrs, 1018, Websters hall, the Twilight, Wild Pitch , ect, so much fun back then. Now it.s Whole Foods, Corny Bikers and NYU dorms, NY IS SO WACK NOW.
interesting and unbelievable fact: back in the early days 1988 you could expect to pay £20 for a pill (you read even £25 but I never heard anyone pay that myself) but at £20 and the fact that inflation has trebled the pint of a pint of beer since then (you could still get one in my local (just outside London so expensive ) as recently as 1989 for below a quid) AT 1988 PRICES A PILL WOULD NOW COST OVER £60 A TIME!
@ancientraver19881989 yes but the shit being sold now for £2 aint got any mdma in it FACT.... the most i ever paid was £15 in 1989 the cheapest £2 in 2001 but there was no comparison in the quality of the two pills!
@Babania1 Yes I paid a couple of quid for my cheapest ever too (this millennium-my last ever night clubbin after 25 years on and off ! -and they were as you say complete crap) and my most expensive was £20 in 1988 but still the thought that i would have handed over £60 (in our money now) just shows you inflation in the past 23 years! its like blokes i used to speak to in pubs back then who were probably only just turned 30 and used to go on about 10p pints when they were teenagers!
What an amazing evolution it has been for the last 20+ years - Acid, Rave, Electro, D'n'B, Jungle, Breakcore ... makes me want to go to a free party and drop some tasty tabs each time I hear a tune like that! :)
very good !! but gave way to proper "e" bloters were cheap man casul startings and all things welch !!!! fuck the travelers stone island workers !!! mon 2 fri then look out ???
You turn on You tune in, you drop out Acid has that effect Bassline be pumping Body's rocking People in the crowds, you hear them shout Acieed! Acieed! Acieed! . . . If you thought it was a drug Now you know you're wrong You hear it in Future, Shoom, and Spectrum And we call it acieed Acieed! Acieed! Acieed! . . .
'It is time to get funky' is admirable but just reasonable hip house (most hip house except from the Beatmasters, and even them a bit, is too dated anyway), and rap I can't stand any more. 'Put your hands together' is a classic house cut, but, even on such a fine groove, I can't take the nonsense rap anymore. Their stuff with Cathy Dennis is pretty good, but just club pop music.
While this is a real, classic, unalloyed acid HOUSE track. Even if you can't play it to gran much
sure i danced with her ....

@FLshadyrock Ummm, no. Perfect amount of echo. You would agree if you heard this in the clubs.

Al this stuff about the cost of a tab - this 12" single cost £3.49 in Virgin - I still have the sticker on the sleeve!

Acieed! Acieed! Acieed! . . .
Acid
A musical phenomenon
Only for the headstrong
Makes you wanna dance, move, groove your feet
Puts you in a trance
Keeps you on your feet
And we call it acid
Acieed
Acieed! Acieed! Acieed! . . .
